Away today

We head off to the Blue Mountains today, we will leave here
about midday as we can't get into our room until after 2pm
anyway. I am up VERY early as I had a blocked nose and woke up
unable to breathe!!!!!! I woke up at 1am with the same thing,
got up, went to the loo and took some nasal spray and went back
to bed, but I thought I may as well get up when it woke me up at
5am again......it's the winds that cause it, I am sure of it.
Not that I am out in it a lot, but I'll blame them anyway!!!!!!

HELP you sound so much like me... not last night but the night
before and I blamed the fact that Matt had put on the heating
here in the early hours and it had blocked up my nose
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BUT been there and done that exact thing and the winds do make
my nose block up too and I do have 3 kinds of nose drops / sinus
things at my bedside as you may remember !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway I do hope you enjoy you trip and I saw the pics ... it
does look a bit bleak BUT it is a change of scenery so enjoy it

Nothing on here again today so I may as well go to bed early

The internet at the hotel was hopeless and I couldn't even get
on the board yet alone try and post!!!!! It was very cold up the
mountains, daytime temps only got to about 7C!!!! The wind
factor made it feel so much colder, but I had forgotten how
beautiful the Blue Mountains are. It was very busy everywhere as
it's school holidays and the hotel was booked out.
Our room was on the top floor and there was no lift, being an
historical building and we had 52 steps to get up to our
room!!!!!!! On Saturday night/evening I went up to our room
while Robert stayed down and had a nightcap with Kylie and
Garry, I was very sore and tired and I fell up the step on the
second landing, I groaned and just lay there for a bit and then
I heard Kylie say "Oh mum, are you ok?" I didn't break anything,
which makes a nice change, but I couldn't get back up, so Kylie
had to call Garry to come and help me up. He helped me back up
the last two flights of stairs and I begged them not to tell
Robert. Unfortunately, because they were both gone so long,
Robert figured it out and came up to the room almost instantly
and he was not happy. I am ok, I fell on my right side and my
right shoulder, the one that is buggered, is very sore as is my
right wrist, but nothing broken.

job you were not left alone in that case and Kylie was around to
help !!!!! WHY on earth would you go stay in an hotel like that
???? IT might be OLD but at least you need a ground floor room
!
I do have to say once again that this story is also vaguely
familiar !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have you tripped on stairs before ?????
[emoji170] I don't USE stairs if I can help it !!!!!!!!! The
pain may hit you ... maybe tomorrow :(
I do have to say the pics of the area were lovely even if it was
so cold !

Oh no I’m sorry to hear this Darien, what an awful thing to
happen, no more staying in hotels that do not have either ground
floor bedroom or a lift! I hope you are not too sore.
