I got carried away finding and cutting pieces of material as

....:)
I don't have Baby material bits but I do have a few flowery
pieces so I have been cutting out and sewing some pretty pieces
together :))))))) Not finished yet as it needs edging then Watch
this Space :))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Actualleh thinking about it maybe I should go buy some BABY type
material ..... Hmm thinking :))))))))))))
Am I Bored ... a bit as John and Matt are sitting outside in the
COLD yapping and NO alcohol as far as I can see
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe an early night for me :)

Some baby material would look lovely, but it depends on what
material you have already, floral is always good. Don't forget
to take photos of the quilt [emoji7]
John and Matt are and for sitting outside in the cold!!!!!!!
Tell John it's not good for him.
Robert's Mum knitted some lovely warm outfits for the girls when
they were wee babies and I loved them. I know that if I were to
have done so for my grandchildren, they would have been enjoyed,
but as I am not a good knitter and can't crochet, I didn't
embarrass myself or the babies [emoji3]

I did a front piece of the quilt in flower patches but it need
backing ! I WILL go to Whanganui tomorrow and look around but
really I NEED Spotlight ! BUT That means a PN trip. Mmmmm
thinking :) I just took a pic of the quilt so
far.........................:)
I can knit a bit but nothing flash and I can crochet a bit .....
Mum did all of that plus dressmaking even Suits !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She was a specialist in the sewing trade :)

Do you put anything in between the front piece and the backing?
Remind me again how far the drive to PN is, you could just make
a day of it and get a vacuum, shopping and the material you need
[emoji4]
Sometimes I wished I was a crafty person, when I see how good
Deb and Belinda are those sorts of things, but it just isn't my
thing and I'd soon get bored.

Oh yes you need to put a bit of ' padding ' I think you call it
in between the patchwork front piece and the soft material piece
that goes on the bottom of the quilt to keep the baby warm :)
Re craft oriented people ....I think you either ' have it or
you do not have it '...... that what my Mum used to say :) Angie
was never a sewer until she got older and started making baby
quilts for Joseph's kids and friends :) I do get the
inclination to SEW something ... ever now and again !!!!!!
:)))))))))))
Palmerston North is a ONE hour drive from here via Whanganui and
MAYBE Matt will be wanting a ride to the airport / bus station
in PN on...... Wednesday ? IF he does go back to Napier
!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe your Mum is right, I certainly don't have it!!!!!!! It
might be worth the drive to get the material you want and the
padding, you might find some material for another project too.
Is there a chance that Matt may not go back to Napier?

used it for the backing .. See photos on our FB Page:) I
finished it this arvo and it does need to be pressed / ironed :)
BUT I do have another more girlie one in my mind
:))))))))))))))))))
I just have a feeling he may not go back BUT today he got his

I will look at the finished quilt when I am done on here.
Even if Matt does decide to stay, he will still need a car, you
will just have to wait and see what he does.
