I don't worry about the roof coming off... just the fact that
the wheels under this moveable home......might come loose and
wheel us all across the fields !!!! Hahaha Apparently it CAN /
WILL not happen BUT the trees around us rattle and blow madly
and the " drive way " is full of mud and water... not THAT much
rain today just on and off but it is still WET all around here
!

I doubt very much if my roof would come off either, but it
doesn't stop me looking up when there is a bad gust of wind
[emoji4] My lawns are still damp under foot here too. Thankfully
I have a concrete driveway, so no mud there.

The lawn up at the big house looks lovely and green today and it
is still wet but the grass was cut not so long ago .... and it
all looks good:) WE don't have a lawn here at the Granny flat
... just my plants and my edging bits of garden and lots of MUD
! :(

Wow you are not having good weather, our heatwave seems to have
gone and it’s been drizzly today, not been out walking just went
food shopping, although we did stop at a perfume shop and Paul
bought me my favourite perfume Daisy by Marc Jacobs, I’m going
to make a chicken dinner for tea tonight.

And yes I want a dog sooner rather than later, Paul wants to
wait as we still have things being done to the house but this
could go on forever! I’m giving him till end of August and then
I am getting a dog, I really wanted one before the summer ends
so I can train it outside and it’s a little older before winter
sets in. I’d love a golden retriever but think it may be too big
for me now but……watch this space 😉

Could you not have a lawn area where you are? If so, what is
stopping you? That would look better than a muddy area.
If you are buying from a proper registered breeder, don't you
have to put your name down for a pup over there?

I would have to PLANT a lawn area and it would get drowned out
in Winter when it rains !!!!!!!!! There is plenty of grass round
the edges in front of the deck here but the car gets parked
there.... so MORE MUD ! Maybe a garden of rocks ??? :)
Good luck with your dog Chris :)

If not grass, which is impractical with all your rain, then
definitely a gravel area to park your cars or concrete area, but
concrete is expensive!!!!!!!

John got some gravel last year and he also got some the other
week to fill in the puddles but it would take a few truck loads
to fill the drive way in front of the unit here !
I was also remembering he got loads of gravel when we lived in
the Granny house we had moved in Helensville !! The driveway up
to the house was a field and always full of mud in Winter
!!!!!!!!!!!!
We seem to like living in a field
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes you would tons of gravel I would imagine to properly do the
driveway and that would be expensive I should imagine.....might
be worth it though in the long run.
