GP Catchup.

Saw the local GP this arvo. Lovely young Josh Firmin :)
Nobody else was waiting at the clinic either ... a bit odd as
normally it is full ! People did arrive as I was leaving .. :)
Anyway the nice receptionist again said " Hello Moira, we have
not seen you for a few weeks " :) I saw DR Josh and told him
about feeling OFF a few weeks ago and he took bloods so he could
send them away to get my thyroid checked and HE did note that my
Thyroid medication had been changed a while ago !!!!!!
Remember I did mention that a while ago ??? I told him how I had
asked the chemist and she said it was the same !!!!!!!!!! Josh
hummmed a wee bit and checked on the computer then took my
bloods and results maybe tomorrow or Monday !
MY BP etc was all fine and he offered pain meds for my sore knee
and neck but I do not like those meds as you know ! He told me
to carry on and see how I go :))))))))))))))))))))))))) End of
story !!!!!!!!!!!

So is he waiting for the blood results to see if the change of
meds are working properly now or what as he didn't change them
back? What pain meds did he offer you? Sometimes Moira, you
just have to bite the bullet and take something, you don't have
to be in pain ((((((((((Moira))))))))))
I'm glad your BP was good though, that's one thing to keep a
close eye on.[emoji171]

NO results for the Thyroid blood tests yet ! Probably Monday
now !
They cannot change the Thyroxin pills as it is the NAME that
changed NOT THE PILLS. THE PILLS Have not changed .. BOLLOCKS I
SAY ! BUT that is what I was told and I did look it up a while
ago and it did seem right except for 1 or 2 things that were
different but I am not a medical or scientific type person and
when I asked the local chemist she said no difference ! GP Josh
seemed to think differently .... BUT He did not say
!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pass !
The pain meds were .. cannot remember the name ... but I do not
like them !!!!!!!!!! Had them before and they give me bad dreams
and nightmares !!!!!!!!!!! Bugger my memory is rubbish nowadays
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I have mentioned them on here
before too !!!!!!!!

Hopefully your thyroid is working fine at the moment and you
haven't mentioned feeling so tired lately, which must be a good
sign ((((((((((Moira))))))))))
I remember looking up the tablets too and I read the same that
the ingredients were exactly the same, but sometimes one can't
help but wonder.

Well no results yet so we shall see.
I did go to Hawera today to do some food shopping as it was not
raining much !!!!! The sun came out on the way and the view of
MT Taranaki was gorgeous and amazing clouds but I did not have
my camera with me !!! I got home around 2pm, had a cup of soup,
a quick scan of the newspaper and then a nana nap
:)))))))))))))))))))))) Nothing else to do !!!!!!

Lucky you that you can send Robert shopping !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
John will get any casual thing at the small local supermarket...
eg. bread, milk or dog food but nothing special !!!!!!!!!! Not
a whole list of things anyway ! He would have no idea where to
find them in the BIG supermarkets in the Whanganui or Hawera
.............or even where to FIND the actual supermarkets I am
sure !!!!!!!!!!

I got the GP blood results today on the GP computer page and it
all reads OK .. even if John does have to translate some of the
stuff to me !!!
I Am fed up with my sore knee so as the GP clinic is open today
Monday and I AM limping badly in pain I asked John to drive me
down to see the nurse if not the GP and get some pain meds. that
I had when my knee was bad last year ! I just cannot put any
weight on my left knee and walk normally. I limp like a 90 year
old !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes I WAS wearing my Pj bottoms as it is bloody cold here today
..... but I did also have on a tee shirt and lovely wooly pink
jumper and NO Bra. ' Bollocks' I said to myself ...' see me
as I Am ' !!!!!!!!! Even John was a wee bit surprised that I
did not change and get " dressed " :)))))))))))))))))))
Anyway I did get to see the nurse .... " Hello Moira " :) and
she did my BP etc and all OK so she said she would get me a
prescription for Ante inflammatory pills Naproxen like I had
before when my knee was bad and some Paracetamol. All free :) NO
comment on my clothes either :)
I have taken a Naproxen with dinner this evening and the pain is
still there when I walk but it is not so bad. Maybe I will stay
in bed all day tomorrow ........YES I know I have said that
before too :)))))))))))))))))))))))))

(((((( Moira ))))) Naproxen is good and take the paracetamol,
try to gently keep moving if you can, have you considered a knee
replacement?

Naproxen will definitely help your pain, but perhaps you need an
Xray to see what is going on with it as well. The nurse didn't
mention what it could be? I hope that by today or tomorrow, the
meds will have worked their magic and you are feeling more the
thing ((((((((((Moira))))))))))
I am glad your bloods are all good, that's one less worry for
you dear friend.
