Winter weather moans .....

Yesterday my knee was aching and today I found it hard to
actualleh walk much... putting weight on my left knee / leg
....! NO I have not tripped up or anything this year but it was
the same LAST Winter after I DID trip up on the new steps here
at the granny flat and had a right hassle with the pain in A&E
...... I WILL look it upon here in a minute !!!
Not to mention my sore neck from colouring in !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am feeling OLD today and had to take some Paracetamol !

My poor knee !

.....Anyway I got off the point .. when I got up off the chair
out on the deck and my KNEE gave way ! It is my old knee injury
! It is my left knee and it is sore but it is worse IF I do not
move or walk on it ! I have done heat treatment cream and a hot
pad but it is still sore IF I get up and put any weight on it !

It is an old injury Linda. You may remember how I slipped in
Woolworths when shopping in Perth ... because the trolley boy
had brought in wet trollies and the floor was wet when I slipped
getting a shopping trolley. I landed on my left knee and in the
end I did get $1000 compensation from Woolies !!! Later on,
back in NZ I also tripped before we got this granny flat and I
landed on the same knee so had treatment on it here .... and it
is OK ... most of the time but every now and again it "goes' !!!
Same with my hip now and again ! Old age and cold weather !
NOW tonight ..... I give in ............I could go on all night
finding my knee, hip, leg, elbow ............. complaints on our
chat :(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((

Sadly the cold weather brings out all the pain of old injuries
and arthritis ((((((((((Moira)))))))))) I am not quite as fond
of Winter as I used to be theses days!!!!!!!!

I do agree plus it is an ageing thing too

My knee was almost normal today after I first got up but once I
sat down to go on here and eat my toast.... when I got up it was
Aching ! Had a nana nap and it was fine when I first got up
again ............... then painful being up and down doing stuff
....... Methinks maybe I should stay in bed all day
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hahaha OK I will shut up !

Everything seems to ache in the cold and my sciatica is mucking
up again, I wished I knew what caused it, but it seems the more
I walk around the more it hurts [emoji21]
Staying in bed all day sounds like a good way to spend the day
[emoji4]

You have told us about Sciatica a few times before I remember
... I think I also asked about it when I had all the aches in my
neck, shoulder, knee and hip ages ago and I think I was told
Rheumatism maybe??? I will ask again tomorrow !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IT is supposed to be the nice young doctor .... Josh Firmin :)
Maybe I have sciatica in my old knee problem as the more I Do
walk around the more it hurts !
I Nearly did stay in bed all day today as it was cold and I was
so comfy but I got hungry :))))))) I did also have a warm and
comfy Nana nap :) John went to the library and took my books
back as I could not be bothered getting dressed
properly......... I said bring me a couple of books if you see
any that might be suitable .. he brought me 3 and I have read
one of them before !!!! The other 2 look ............ mmmm OK
:) Might have an early night :))))))))

Sciatica pain starts in your bum and works its way down your leg
and is incredibly painful when it gets bad, it's usually caused
by pinching the sciatic nerve through a bulging disc. I have a
few bulging discs caused by degeneration and osteoarthritis, I
am over it all!!!!!!! I can't get much done with the pain at the
moment.
I only have three hours left of the Zodiac Academy books, it
will be hard to finish actually as I lived in their fantasy
world for about 3 months now. All up about 20 books and I have
loved everyone of them. There is a new Sally Rigby murder
mystery book out, so I will read/listen to that and then I might
just read some more of the books that the authors of Zodiac
Academy have written, we'll see.

Nothing wrong with my bum.. except maybe the size ...so I don't
have Sciatica !
I looked it up and I have read about it when you talked about
Sciatica before ..... the sore hip thing I had in Perth sounds a
bit like Sciatica but nowadays my hip is fine ........touch wood
!
I don't know how you manage with sciatica all up your back etc
as I am having problems with my knee today and it hurts to walk
is fine when I sit down then hurts when I get up again !
Hmm I dropped off my library books today .. the ones John forgot
yesterday .. en route to the Clinic and I did look for some new
ones but nothing caught my eye BUT I am thinking maybe I should
look again at some of the Zodiac Academy books as I cannot find
anything else !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The pain was so bad yesterday I could barely do anything and
when I did I was nearly in tears and cursing with it. I have
NEVER had it this bad before and I have no idea what is making
it so bad. I did a search on prednisone and sciatica yesterday
afternoon in desperation for some relief and it said while pred
will help with the pain, it won't actually help the
sciatica......that was enough for me, so I started on 25mgs of
pred yesterday afternoon and it was a bit better and I slept
much better. It's still sore this morning, but easing with the
increase. I honestly thought of going up the the hospital, but I
hate doing that as they are so over run at the moment. I will
see how today goes.
Uhmmmmm........as much as I loved Zodiac Academy, I'm not sure
that you will as it has a lot of swearing and sex in them,
sometimes too much!!!!! I hope you find something decent to read
soon, nothing worse that having nothing to read. You could start
reading some murder mystery books, they are always good.

sounds awful and if the Prednisone works and you are able to
take it... ok then Go for it. I can understand your thoughts of
going to the hospital too, been there done that before a couple
of times and spent HOURS there !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As for the Zodiac books well maybe I will PASS, you have said
that about them before ... unless I am really desperate for
something to read :)
