Hello

I finally got a chance to sit down with a cup of tea to keep you
company, sorry I haven’t been on before this. Tomorrow we are
going on a yacht out to see the Great Barrier Reef and we will
also be snorkeling, I am so looking forward to it.
We went out into the town this morning, we walked about 1
kilometres to the big shopping plaza and then wandered around.
Yesterday late afternoon we walked to the Night Markets and on
the way we walked through a lovely park that has a large
swimming pool. I took some photos and will put them up on our FB
page 😊
I will now catch up, but I doubt I will be on here tomorrow as
it’ll be a long day.

The weather has been glorious, about 24/5C and low humidity. It
is windy though, which makes it feel cooler again 😊
The reef is such a beautiful and fragile thing and ocean a
glorious blue, photos don’t do it justice. It was a very long
day and sadly while I was snorkeling over the reef I suddenly
couldn’t breathe properly and we were a fair way from the shore.
Robert grabbed me and started to pull me in to the shore, but my
breathing became worse and I put my arm up for them to come
rescue me. By this time I was exhausted and panicking, thank God
Robert was calm and comforted me by just holding me up. If he
hadn’t been there I doubt very much that I would have lasted, it
would have been my last time swimming yet alone snorkeling!!!!!!
I took my puffer when they got me back to shore and just stayed
with me until I finally got my breathing under control. Today we
are both exhausted and are doing nothing, but I am going ok.

It was a terrible experience and really, thinking about it, I
shouldn’t have attempted to snorkel out so far, but I always
managed it before. My COPD just can’t handle it and I have been
very breathless since then.
The train ride yesterday was just the best way to relax and the
rainforest is amazing. The wee town was hilly and that walk was
a bit of a struggle, restful again on the way back.
Yes there is so much flooding at home at the moment and Zurie’s
school is closed due to flooding!!!! It is supposed to start
clearing up later today.

The train ride sounds great and my kind of trip :)
Ah so Zurie's school was affected by the floods that we have
been reading about ? IT looks awful from what they show on here
and some of the place names are familiar to me ... through you
:)

Arlie couldn't go to school on Friday either as her school was
affected as well. It's beed really bad here apparently but we
are all in one piece and the house is still here, so that's all
one can ask for, isn't it?
Goodness knows when I will be able to get my lawns mowed though
as it's been weeks as it is with all the rain we have had
lately. My Maggie would NOT be happy as she hated it when the
grass got long and she tried to to do a wee [emoji7]

Hahaha nice memories of Maggie .. when it rains ........... GET
another dog :)
I am glad your property was OK. I read how AWFUL the floods
were around your area and further North !
Matt was here for the weekend and has been moaning how the dogs
( NOT Juno ) have been digging holes all over the garden ! He
says he would shoot them !!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, I still don't want another dog, the memories are just fine
[emoji4]
The dogs are probably bored and are digging holes for something
to do, they are used to having the kids around.
