Thinking I have never had this kind of pain from my bum ad down
my leg so I do not have Sciatica :))))))) [emoji170] I cannot
imagine a pain in the bum ... except if I was using the OLD
       expression...He/She/It .. is a Pain in the Bum ! :)
DO try the gel pads and let me know BUT I am sure I DID have a
go with them this time last year .... PASS !!!!!!!!!!!
I was thinking of going to the big house and looking for the old
walking sticks. Too wet and too cold today so PASS again ! I
       will survive :)

I did the dusting and vacuuming and cleaned the bathroom toilet
and sink area, but I didn't do the shower, although it needs a
good clean. That can wait until after I have my cortisone
       injection on Monday.
I might visit the girls this morning and do a little bit of
       shopping, we'll see..............

hit the toilet when they pee !!!!!!!!!!!!! I had to mop it with

I know what you mean about men and the toilet!!!!!!!!!! Drives
       me insane sometimes.
We popped in to see the girls, good job they live next door to
each other, both were good and we then did a bit of shopping,
just groceries, I didn't need much. Robert went to the golf club
with Garry yesterday afternoon to practice their putting
[emoji849] The next time Robert gets annoyed at me listening to
my book, I'll remind him of all the time he spends on golf!!!!!
I was a bit sore again with my sciatica yesterday afternoon, I
hope the cortisone injection works tomorrow as I am sick of the
       pain.

AH yes I remember your girls live next door to each other so
very convenient for you ... and them too :)
Hahaha yes good thinking as we do sometimes need to get back at
the men and their moanings :)
I am having to walk or rather LIMP and try not to put much
weight on my left knee..... so It is weight that hurts it as it
is fine if I am sitting or lying down !!!!!!!!!!!! I had a nana
nap this arvo and put a hottie under my left knee in bed.
Ahhhhhhhh Bliss .. the heat was lovely and I DID sleep for a
good hour :) When I got up, I could walk almost normally ....
for a few steps anyway !!!!!!!!!!!
       Good luck tomorrow [emoji170]

I have tapered down off high doses of prednisone and am back
down to my normal daily dose of 5mgs and my sciatica is back
with a vengeance this morning so I can only hope that the
cortisone injection this morning will work it's magic. It was
obviously the prednisone that was helping the pain and the nerve
is still inflamed. I don't know what the most recent results are
from the CTScan I had done last week, but obviously they must
have seen the inflammation as they haven't cancelled the
       appointment this morning.
Perhaps you need to have your knee checked again with a scan or
X-ray ((((((((((Moira)))))))))) Make another appointment with
your Dr and see is there is some other anti inflammatory you can
take to help ease the pain.

Have I ever had Prednisone ???? I cannot remember but it is used
for ..... "Prednisone is commonly used for various inflammatory,
       autoimmune, hormonal complaints" .
WE have talked of this before too I KNOW !~ I looked it up and
do not recognise any of the Prednisone pill names !!!!!!!!!! WHY
have I Not been prescribed this ???
I had to resort to taking a painkiller... Naproxen again today
BUT it did help. Still cannot put weight on my left knee ! SO I
LIMP ! I WILL also go to bed with a hottie for my feet and
another hottie for my knee :) PLUS ATM I also have a long hottie
round my neck as I have been colouring in and my neck is sore
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A half walking wounded !!!!!!! OR Bloody old
       age !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope your Cortisone jab did help today :)))))))))) [emoji170]

Drs don't prescribe prednisone unless absolutely needed, in most
cases a non steroid base anti inflammatory works well for most
people. I have been on prednisone for over 30 years now and will
remain on a daily 5mgs dose as I don't produce enough cortisol
on my own anymore. before thinking about even using prednisone,
look up all the damage it causes!!!!
Yesterday was a disaster really, the Dr, who was lovely and very
apologetic, couldn't get to the trapped nerve as my spine is too
twisted. God it hurt too as he kept hitting bone with the needle
and he kept adding more local anaesthetic to help me. He will
ring my Dr and let him know and I went in and booked another
appointment for next Monday to see my Dr and then figure out
what to do from there. The pain is bad again this morning and
it's depressed me as well, I have had enough now. I had a cry
       yesterday afternoon over everything.
I will get Robert to take me to the chemist today and get some
heat and ice gel packs and hope they will help ease the pain.

       OH my poor friend
       (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((Darien)))))))))))))))))))))
       ))))))))))))))))))))))))))
That shuts up MY moaning about my sore knee etc !!!!!!
IT all sounds awful and I DO so hope you can get it sorted soon.
SO you did not even have your cortisone jab ? I do so hope you
can cope with the pain with maybe heat packs.... not too sure
re: ice cold things .......... Brrrrrr Shiver shiver !!!!! There
must be something they can do to sort this out for you
       !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [emoji170]

The pain is back with a vengeance today and I am seriously
considering taking 50mgs of prednisone again this
morning....bugger it I will as I am having trouble coping. I
guess the poking around has triggered it all again or the last
large doses of prednisone have left may body. I'm so sorry to be
moaning to you about it, but Moira it really hurts, more than my
bloody broken foot hurt that's for sure!!!!!!!
I believe physio therapy might help and I read that ice packs
helps the inflammation go down and then heat to relieve pain, so
I will try both. I got the gel packs yesterday and tried the
ice, it helped a little bit, but it's not the weather to be
       doing it in!!!!!!
