       My weekend
By: DarienJ Date: May 9, 2025, 4:22 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
I have a fairly busy weekend, today, Saturday, I am going up to
see Christene. She wanted to take me out somewhere for morning
tea for Mothers day and as I didn't want her wasting her money
on me, I said instead I would prefer to pop up to see her. They
have had the driveway all concreted since the last time I was up
there and they have done a few other things around the house as
well and I wanted to see the changes. Arlie has a birthday party
to go to this morning, so we will be going up after lunch.
On Sunday, Mothers Day, Garry has arranged a High Tea to go to
at 11.30am. It was put to everyone to come if they wanted, but
as it's not cheap there will only be Rab, Gail, Robert and I,
Kylie and Garry with Liam and Chloe. Belinda has her family
coming to see her I believe, I certainly hope they do at
       least!!!!

MOTHER'S DAY ? I see the ads on the computer and in the
newspaper BUT it means nothing to me, never has done ever :)
       Just a publicity / shopping / American Scam :)
Happily Pass. BUT enjoy your High Tea and enjoy the company who
       do attend :)
I hope you also enjoy your trip to view Christene and her new
home improvements I would quite like to see them too :)

Today is Gail's first Mothers Day without her Mum, so it will be
a hard one for her [emoji17] We have always celebrated Mothers
Day and Dad used to make sure we all had a gift for mum and we
would often go on picnics when we were all grown and had
families of our own, so it's a sort of special day for us,
although never the same since I lost my beautiful Mum.
We had a lovely chat at Christene's and there were only minor
changes, apart from the finished driveway, just a few more
pictures up and that sort of thing. She has set up so lovely
       [emoji7] I'm sorry I didn't think to take photos. I received a
journal book from them to be filled out and given back, about my
life growing up etc. It's a lovely book, but whether I get
around to filling it in is another story [emoji1]

AH I have remarked on Garry's photos of your Mother's day lunch
? Lovely photos and everyone looks so well too :) Even if YOU
do look so tiny sitting in your seat :) [emoji170]
       No Mother's day celebrations here!!!!!!!!!!
       (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((Gail and
       Darien))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Ah never mind and I am sure if there is anything new or fancy at
Christene's new house then you will phot them for us :)
WHY have they given you a journal book ??? Is this a new thing
or have you had one before ??? IT sounds familiar
       !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am only very short and seemingly shrinking more and more these
days!!!!!!! I am now just 5'2"!!!!!!
This is the book/journal Chrissy gave me, it's such a lovely
thing and I have never heard of it before. I will try and fill
it all in for her so she has a sort of record of me [emoji4]

I love those journals, I too have one and have filled most of it
in but not for a few years now, it sounds like you had a nice
afternoon tea Darien, did you take any photos of the house?

I think it's a beautiful book and a good one to have for the
family and younger generations when we are gone, so yes it is
worth getting and I will write down my life story for them to
       read.
The afternoon tea was lovely. No I didn't take any photos of
Christene's house, we were too busy chatting [emoji7]

I have led a boring life so there isn't a lot to write about
really, but it would be some background for them to have I
       suppose.
Christene asked me when she was here on Monday if we could sit
down one day and would be I be willing to talk to her about my
alcohol addiction and how I gave it up. I have no problem with
talking about it and if she wants to hear my story, then I will
       talk to her about it.
