       Hi

Sorry not been here but been so busy, it’s lovely having Kate
and Steve here, they fly to Portugal on Sunday and will spend 3
weeks travelling around Europe, we have been inundated with
visitors but I am sure the novelty will soon wear off, the
Easter get together party went well and it was nice to see
everyone, I have been out walking almost every day unless we
have had a day out somewhere, trying to catch up with general
housework as well, we were a bit disappointed we did not see as
much of Mathew and the girls as we would have liked as they
seemed to spend more time with her parents at their hotel, but
hey ho, maybe next time they come up they will leave her parents
behind. We are having a new bathroom done from Monday, so just
as well Kate and Steve will be away, the same guy is also
fitting new doors for us so the house is going to be in a bit of
a chaos so I shall close my eyes to the mess and just get out as
much as I can, also Paul’s big security shed is coming next
Thursday so he’s happy about that, I have finally found a decent
gardener at a reasonable price, let’s just hope he’s reliable,
Kate and Steve are out for the day with Eifion so I can catch up
with washing and ironing, the weather is gorgeous and warm so I
will get out this afternoon, I hope you are both well and
hopefully I can catch up a bit here in a day or two.

It certainly sounds like you have been very busy and I am happy
to hear the Easter break went well, I loved the photos you put
up. What is it with Sian and her parents?? Doesn't she see them
all the time? That is so wrong and I know how much you would
have loved to spend more time with Mathew and the girls
       [emoji178]
I hope Kate and Steve have a lovely time exploring Europe, I
       envy them.

Lovely to hear from you with your catch up news .......... I bet
you will also relax a wee bit once your house is your own again
even IF you are having work and done inside and outside :) Why
employ a gardener ? Can you not do your own gardening? It is not
such a big garden is it ?
Are Kate and Steve just being tourists when they fly to Portugal
and Europe ???? Been there, done that and got the tee shirt :)
I Am sure I HAVE said that before too :) I hope they DO get to
       fly despite the weather !
Shame you did not see so much of the girls but hopefully you
will on their next visit :))))))))))[emoji178]

Yes Sian sees her parents every day so I am not sure why she is
now bringing them with her when she comes to North Wales,Kate
and Steve are flying to Portugal and then hiring a car and doing
some travelling for about 3 weeks, they have been applying for
jobs here so will see what turns up. The hedge at the back of
the garden is about 12 foot high and no way can me or Paul
balance on a ladder to get up there, the garden is not huge and
I am pottering looking after the flower borders but I draw the
line at mowing the lawns and doing hedges….Im too old for that
now, I have a nice young man going to come every 2 weeks to keep
       it under control for me.

You would think that Sian's parents would at least let you have
some quality time with your grandchildren!!!! I couldn't do
that, I was more than happy to share our grandchildren with
Elsie and Anne as they had just as much a right to them as did
       I. Now, sadly, we are their only grandparents.
I hope Kate and Steve have a great trip around Europe, although
I would imagine 3 weeks isn't nearly enough time.
We have a gardener that mows our lawns, have been using Andrew
       for over 30 years now!!!!

Kate and Steve will not get very far or see very much of
Portugal and Spain in only 3 weeks !!!!!!!!!!!!!! But it will be
       lovely for them :)
It is an odd situation methinks with Sian and her parents ...
taking them with her and seeing them every day ? Can they cope
on their own or do they need ... daily help to manage ? I think
you have mentioned them before too but ......Pass !!!!!
Hmm lucky for us that Matt can cut the hedges and mow the lawns
:))))))))) NOT That I have ever mowed the lawns or maybe I did
have a go back in the old days living in Marton when we had a
huge lawn and a ride on mower :) I always do the rest of the
       gardening :)

I don't have garden beds anymore, apart from the small veggie
garden, all my plants are now in pots. Much easier for me to
work with these days. I have mown lawns before, but I could
never get the hang of a whipper snipper for the edges. I have
also trimmed hedges before as well.

AH rather you than me regarding trimming edges or trimming
       hedges !!!!!!!!
I don't have many vegies growing now .. ! Just a few herbs and a
few potatoes coming up .. where they are not supposed to come up
! But I did chuck a few old sprouting potatoes into the dirt
       the other week !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [emoji15][emoji1]

I haven't started any new veggies yet, the garden bed needs more
soil and fertiliser before I attempt to plant and all that will
have to wait until I get back from Cairns. I haven't really
thought much about what I will grow this winter, but I am
leaving it all a bit late.
