Surprise visitors
By: DarienJ Date: March 19, 2025, 3:01 pm

Alex, Sammi and the girls popped in last evening for my
birthday, it was a lovely surprise as I haven't seen them for
months!!!! The girls were happy to see me and Zurie showed me
how she can do her 8 times tables already in year one!!!!!!!!!
She made me a beautiful card, I'll take a photo of it today and
post it for you. I gave Zadie her birthday present as hers is
tomorrow, she was happy about that. They didn't stay for long as
the girls had to be fed and get ready for bed etc, but it was
the best birthday present [emoji7]
Kylie and Garry popped in as well earlier and I received a
voucher from the to buy books on Audible, another wonderful
gift. I received messages and phone calls most of the day. so
all in all, I had a lovely day to take away the sting of being
69!!!!!!!

Catching up to me :))))))))))))))))))))) [emoji170]
How lovely that Alex, Sammi and the girls came for a visit and
how on earth can Zurie do her 8 times table already ????? The
card made by Zurie is so like the drawings that Greta made last
year too :) How old is Zadie now ?
Is Sammi managing to keep sensible and sober ? I suppose if you
have not seen them for ages you don't know !

I have no idea how she knows her 8 times tables, but she can and
Sammi and Alex were saying that her reading skills are that of a
grade 3 age. She is one smart cookie, must take after me
[emoji7][emoji1]
I can't tell you if Sammi has remained sober, but I believe she
has (so far) and she certainly didn't smell of alcohol. Belinda
told me that the psychiatrist believes she is Bi-Polar. I don't
know how true that is, but it may answer some of her mental
health problems.

Yes what you say does make sense regarding Sammi and hopefully
they can keep her on the right level

All I can do is hope that Sammi and Alex can get there act
together enough for their girls as they are what I worry about

It's so hard knowing that the girls will have issues as they
grow up and there is nothing I can do about. No doubt I won't be
around either for when they are teens etc [emoji22]

Well you never know if you will be around or not..... think
positive :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) Not that you
would be able to do much for them in physically ... say 10 years
time but who knows :)))))))))))[emoji170] [emoji178][emoji171]

It's heartbreaking to know that they will grow up with problems,
how can they not?? I don't understand Sammi's mum not helping
her and her grandchildren, doesn't say much for her as a person
or mother, does it?? I realise that it's hard for her, but to
see your grandchildren being placed in situations made by her
daughter and to do nothing about it, same as Belinda really.
They do threaten Belinda with not seeing the girls, so I get her
to a certain extent. It's all very complicated and I hate
it!!!!!! [emoji19]
I honestly can't see myself reaching 80 like Mum did, my dad was
only 72 when he passed....but I am alive now so that is good
