Wild weather

This evening .. ( you did see my post Darien :) ... it quite
suddenly poured down, the sky did go dark and it did look like
rain was coming BUT all of a sudden down it came and the wind
blew the BIG trees around here were all swaying madly !!!!
Quite scary in fact ! Then it stopped and I thought Oh Phew....
:)
Matt came down to here saying his lights were flickering ... so
were the ones here in the granny flat !!!
Then down came the rain and wild wind again ... like a mini
tornado ...... flickering lights .... but they did all stay on
even if the computer power was slow !
Turns out lots of homes in Waverley are without electricity now
as a power pole burst into flames just down the road !!!
Its all good right now ... calm and quiet at 9:30PM but I Do
have my candles and torch ready :)))))))))))))))))))))))

It certainly sounds like a hurricane or certainly something
similar. Was there anything in the local news about it? I hope
it remained calm for the rest of the night?

IT was Calm for the rest of the night last night ... and sleep
was good then in the morning it poured down early on then all
good and even a bit of sunshine .... so off we went shopping to
Whanganui :) All fine if a wee bit chilly .. until we were
almost on our way back and Matt rang to warn us of the foul
weather in Waverley ... see the new post !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Right now 9:20PM It has just poured down for a couple of minutes
.....then stopped ..... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO.... it is
raining again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was cold here yesterday morning and I even put my winter gown
on!!!! Not so cool this morning though, but there is a chill in
the air. It seems Autumn has arrived as the evenings are getting
cooler as well. We had a stinking hot weekend 35C!! Now it's
finally cooling down and I haven't had to have the air con on
since the weekend, just the ceiling fans and I am breathing
better too, always a blessing [emoji4]
