Yes, older women are more likely to have twins. This is due to a
number of factors, including age-related changes in fertility
and the use of assisted reproductive technologies.
Explanation
Age-related changes in fertility
As women age, they are more likely to release two eggs during
each cycle. This is an evolutionary response to the decline in
embryo viability that occurs with age.
Assisted reproductive technologies
The use of assisted reproductive technologies (ART) is
associated with a higher risk of multiple pregnancies.
Delayed childbearing
Women are increasingly choosing to have children later in life,
which has contributed to the rise in multiple births.
Other factors that increase the risk of multiple births:
Being a twin yourself or having twins in your family
Using fertility drugs

Twins didn’t run in my mum or dad’s families but mum had two
sets 😂

Sometimes twins just happen, but it's rare to have two sets of
twins!!!!!!

Got this from Annie earlier this evening so NOT twins :) Phew :)
Hi mum! dr called all the bloods came back low risk.. baby is
healthy and no problems xxx
Omg I burst into tears I was so happy and such a relief !!!!
He’s like .... do you want to know the gender haha!!
We’re going to collect in envelope next week with the gender and
open next Saturday- Richie’s taking me for dinner it’s our
anniversary haha we’ll open it then xxx
Omg I feel so happy I was so worried. We have next scan on 25th
x
Richie thinks a boy - it’s def a gal xx haha
