Forgive and forget, let go of the past

We thank God for all He's done, by heart and soul
We pray for our earth, and all its goals
Thank you, Lord, for roofs over our head
Water to drink, and food to eat, we're blessed indeed
We pray for those in need, and for peace on earth
May your love and grace, forever give us birth in your place.

I was walking in shoes that didn't feel right
Trying to fit in, but it just wasn't my night
I was suffocating, in a pair that was tight
But I learned to let go, and take flight
If the shoe doesn't fit, take it off

I was trying to be, someone I'm not
But the weight of the lie, was crushing my thought
I had to break free, from the chains that I wore
And find my own path, where I could walk some more

I am broke, that's not a joke
My pockets are empty, my bank account's a croak
I'm struggling to make ends meet
