His power and coming. he is not revealed he is destroyed.

are already in the tribulation...What about all the other
prophecies that have yet to happen....

tribulation because we are in the world. There will come a great
worldwide rebellion against God and against all religion, this
will be headed up by Antichrist. The western church is not
prepared. [/quote]

I see what you are saying bro. but I fret. Because I hear
everyone a'saying the Rapture, the Rapture. the Rapture. But one
of the surest signs that the Rap is imminent will be a
determined rebellion against God led by Antichrist.
The most awful persecution ever waged against any people in
history.
Children will give their parents up and parents their own
children to be killed. This cannot be a persecution of the Jews
because if Jewish parents were to betray their children they
would be betraying that they also are Jews.
It is the Great Tribulation ... and the church is not ready for
that.
If the church were wise we would see what is happening in China
and go UNDERGROUND.

I John 2: 18: " Little children, it is the last time: and as ye
have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many
antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. "
I John 4: 3: "And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus
Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that
spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come;
and even now already is it in the world. "
John does not say that there is to be one Anti-Christ, as the
pop version of these verses in I John would say. There are
Anti-Christs in every age and generation, and some Anti-Christs
may be more evil than others. Bill Gates might be one of the
main Anti-Christs now in 2020.

Ok let's call him the man of sin, the son of perdition instead.
Th.2.3.
Let no man decieve you by any means for that day shall not come
except there come a falling away first and that man of sin be
revealed, the son of perdition.
who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called god
or that is worshipped so that he sitteth as God in the temple of
God, shewing himself that he is God.
This scripture is PACKED with information, Paul did not want
anybody to be in any doubt. You see he is speaking about an
individual don't you? and an event.
He will be very active in opposing everything called god or that
is worshipped, in other words he will seek to destroy ALL
religious belief. THAT is the persecution I am talking about,
the great end-time persecution, the Great Tribulation. We have
tribulation but the bible talks about a specific time of trouble
[tribulation] such never was since the world was founded and
never will be.
Jesus said "in the world you will have tribulation .... but be
of good cheer I have overcome the world" so obviously
tribulation is not the wrath of God. Again Paul says "through
much tribulation must we enter the kingdom of heaven."

Making the man of sin in II Thessalonians 2: 3-12 one literal
man has the same problem as making the Anti-Christ in I John one
literal man. The
ανθρωπος
της
αμαρτιας, or man of sin,
is a type of man. Anthropos means the human race, not
necessarily one man. The anthropos of sin sounds like it could
be the same as the Anti-Christ in I John 2: 18 and I John 4: 2,
or the spirit of Anti-Christ. The Spirit of Anti-Christ in I
John 4:2 may be there to explain that the Anti-Christ is not one
man.
The problem is that the literalist method of interpretation in
dispensationism goes too far and makes what is a type of man
into one literal man, which the followers of dispensationalism
expect to appear. And in fact there will be men of sin or
Anti-Christs appearing but not one man of sin.

John and Paul are as ever in lock-step. I never saw a place
where they differ in doctrine or interpretation, with the other
Jerusalem crowd I see differences.
John speaks of the spirit of antichrist which was already at
work and Paul speaks about that which witholdeth that he might
be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth
already work only he that letteth will let until he be taken out
of the way.
And then that wicked shall be revealed whom the Lord will
consume with the spirit of His mouth and shall destroy with the
brightness of His coming.
EVEN HIM whose coming is after the working of Satan with all
power and signs and lying wonders.
The whole church speaks in one voice on this subject [up until
the appearance on the scene of John Nelson Darby] strange then
that you should think I am putting forward a dispensationalist
point of view.
The only way you can introduce doubt into what Paul is saying in
2-3 is by changing the meaning of the words he uses and this JND
did, wickedly in my view. JND knew very well the meaning of
apostasis that it means rebellion to alter it's meaning to
departure as he does was a deliberate deception,
The great end-time rebellion is preached by all the fathers, the
coming of the man of sin as a person has been the teaching of
the church from earliest times.
Paul finds this man of sin in Daniel's portrayal of a coming
king who exalts himself above everybody and speaks astonishing
things against God.
He is John the Revelator's Beast.

What you really object to is the Rapture. The doctrine
concerning the resurrection of the just as a seperate event to
the second or general resurrection, the resurrection of the
quick and the dead drives a coach and horses through your whole
system of end-time understanding.
For you like to portray the resurrection as one single event
followed swiftly by the last judgement.
This of course denies the the coming kingdom age, the 1,000 year
reign of Christ with His saints on earth.
You boys sure do not like the Rapture.
