Are you prepared to be gravely wrong?
DIR By: guest5
Date: September 6, 2018, 11:57 am
---------------------------------------------------------
I wonder how many of us can acknowledge that our reasoning in
matters of religion may not be explicitly driven by God. Have we
let oversights and discrepancies in our own pride negate the
actual lessons that we say are necessary?
Has pride driven our opinion as to what is crucial to salvation?
Can you honestly entertain the thought that you may even be
wrong yourself on something that has eternal consequence? We can
say we are following God all that we want, but how many lessons
are the burdens of our ego and pride muffling?
Can we be wrong and honestly embrace the consequence that
brings, or will we stand before final judgement shocked and
surprised? Honestly, I have my own opinions on “this, that, and
the other”, but I Can admit that I could be completely wrong. I
encourage everyone to allow God’s will to actually be the
driving force behind their beliefs.
I’ve told God that I accept the repercussions if I am wrong
anywhere that I am not allowed to be, and will put up no fight
on judgement day if I have condemned myself due to pride and
arrogance. Have you?
I am not in a state of constant worry over my salvation, I feel
that I am on the path that truly leads to His will for me (but
I’m sure everybody says that).
I posted this at TF too, but I figured i’d Get a greater percent
of honest reply here, though I changed the title

I knew I was on the right path when I came across the MAD study
approach. The only focus is the death, burial and resurrection
and the revelations to Paul from the risen ascended Lord Jesus
Christ. People need to decide if they are a real Jew or a
gentile when studying the words of Jesus in His earthly
ministry. People want to claim the promises that are to Israel.
People want to insert themselves into the audience of Jesus.
Meaning the intended audience.

MAD keeps coming up. Yet, I can find nothing that makes it any
different than Acts 2. I question your statement:"People need
to decide if they are a real Jew or a gentile when studying the
words of Jesus in His earthly ministry."
Why do people have to decide if they are a Jew or Gentile? I
will withhold my comments until I understand this statement.

I have no clue about dispensationalism in general.

It just means to dispense, to pass out, to give out to someone
or people. God deals in dispensations throughout history. There
is a video in my Salvation thread called What is a Dispensation.
It's simple, it's just a Bible fact. Don't be scared off by the
word, although many confident theologians are afraid to debate a
MAD, lol.

So I take it a Dispensationalist mainly discusses when the
dispensations occurred and why and all of that good stuff. I
think I’ll take a look at that video here in a little while.

Jon, I think if you look back into Darby and others in that time
period, Dispensationalism had a different connotation than what
it does today.
One of the uses was the way GOD dealt with the people during a
specific time. (i.e. The Creation week Gen 1, 2:5). Of course
one has the HYPER-Dispensationalist to deal with.
One can use them to rightly divide the Bible. One of which is in
the obvious places. When John the Baptist came on Board, The
Kingdom Gospel, Jesus Died, buried, resurrected and the Age of
Grace, When the Tribulation (Daniel's 70th week), The
Millennium, The New Earth. The Law of Moses (exodus to John the
Baptist), Creation, Pre-Flood and Post Flood.
oops got carried away....

Ok I think I get it now. There’s a lot of organization related
stuff that usually hurts my brain because i’m Not typically a
very organized person. It does seem like incredibly important
stuff to keep into account when discussing theology in general.
One of these days i’ll Have paid enough attention to hold my own
in an actual theological discussion haha.

[shadow=Blue, left]ME TOO!... for it is simple. The Lord's Church
started at Acts 2. Extra dispensations in the Bible are common
and OK. It poses no problem toward non-belief.
Good day to you 1 Mind1Spirit
