It happens to a lot of people. I met many people along the way
who experienced the same things that I did. They all say the
same things that I do. Most of them don't want to speak publicly
about it. There are some who do speak publicly and it takes
courage. For many years I didn't want to speak publicly either.
I've gotten older and tired of keeping silent. I just hope that
something I've said will help someone else in some way. Even if
it's just to let them know that they're not alone and that there
are people who understand. I want them to know what I was told
by God at a very dark time in my life when I wanted to just give
up and felt like I couldn't fight anymore and felt that I had no
choice. He told me first that I do have a choice and to choose
life. Then he told me to have faith and trust in him no matter
what happens and that everything will be okay and to never give
up. He gave me the strength to do that. Some things are beyond
our control and we need to put those things in God's hands.
Isa. 5:20 Woe unto them who call evil good, and good evil; who
put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter
for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

I hesitate to contribute...still not sure whether I should or
not.
When i came to Christ, I broke a stronghold the enemy had over
my family. The end result of that was demonic visitations. One
friend talked about even seeing demons playing in the treetops
in front of our house when he came to visit some years later.
Anyway, I want to only contribute two things about that
experience. 1. The visitations stopped when I realized that
nothing, not even the demons could harm me as long as I was
placing myself in the care of the living God and there resting.
2. because of my experiences with demons, I was once asked to
see if I could "see" demons at a local church (long story) So I
went to the church and prayed that God would reveal what He
wanted me to know/see. When I reported back what I have seen, I
was told by the person asking me to check, that I was out of
control looking for demons everywhere and I needed to stop
trying to see them. Which is one of many reasons I don't talk
about it anymore...if you ask me to check, you don't have a
logical right to accuse me of being obsessed.
Actually I want to add a third...our son has reported seeing
several supernatural things (again refusing to go into details
because of things like 2 above) he once told me that he rejected
God because the demons were after him hard enough as it was, if
he gave himself to God, they would just attack harder. Yes, of
course I talked to him about the power of God over the demons,
please don't try to play that card with me, I just found his
take on it interesting enough to share.
Now I am done with the topic so that I "am not obsessed enough
to look under every rock for a demon."...lol

I can remember, although I'm not 100% sure if this is how it
started in my family, that my father somehow got involved in a
satanic organization. I was only 2-3 years old then but the
memories are vivid. I won't go into detail about that. I'll just
say that my father actually said that he was going to "sell all
his children". That meant that he was giving permission for this
satanic organization to do whatever they wanted to do to his
children. I still don't know what he received in return for
selling us in that way. He is no longer alive and my mother left
him when I was not quite 3 years old. I can remember that
particular incident like it happened yesterday. Some things you
can't forget, although it might be temporarily buried in your
subconscious because that does happen sometimes, some things
once seen can't be unseen. So it was after this incident that I
personally witnessed, that things escalated in my family. Even
with my mother. And with my brothers and sisters.
I have prayed and prayed for my family and shed a million tears.
But I also know that one of my sisters played with a ouija
board. This was after we were all grown. So when you have family
members doing those sort of things, it goes against what you
pray for when you are praying for protection for your family.
Other family members have been involved in things that go
against prayers for protection. I have no control over what my
family members do. But I keep praying for them.

In my experience, in most cases, demonic activity is not going
to be seen during a regular church service. That kind of thing
happens after hours and on days and nights that aren't regular
church hours. And only a small group knows about these secret
meetings and....activities. So in a church like that where
demons have been invited in, they will create havoc in that
church.
That's not to say that demonic activity doesn't happen openly
during a church service in certain parts of the world. Even here
in the U.S., there are certain churches where demonic activity
is more prevalent and it can be observed during a church
service. I'm not saying that a demon will actually manifest and
be seen during a church service but there are signs of demonic
presence.

It also happens to people who don't believe in God although
Christians are targeted more. I've read testimonies about
atheists who became Christians. They said that seeing evidence
of evil spirits and demons made them believe in God.

I have a very dear friend whose father was a witch doctor. When
we first met (let me clarify before going on, his father came to
Christ and brought his family to Christ thus leaving behind
voodoo) my friend had a cassette tape of a voodoo service that
was so strongly demonic he wouldn't allow anyone that wasn't
totally given over to Christ to even hear it. Demons are
nothing to mess with...just saying.
So I have said enough, apparently my communication skills are
off right now cause no one is getting what I am saying or
why...since I am still working through not even being worthy of
a parents love, I will not give the demons room to further
assault my feelings of inferiority and worthlessness.

places like New Orleans if I recall correctly and I'm sure there
are other towns where it's practiced too. I've seen videos of
witch doctors especially in Africa and some of their practices
with the people there. It's really rituals but they don't call
it that. They also think that beating children will rid them of
demons when most if not all of those children don't even have a
demon. I've also seen videos of that and it's just awful what
they do to those children.

You know, when I was going to school, my classmates used to tell
me that my parents didn't love me because I was in foster care.
But guess what, I have a heavenly Father who loves me. So
nothing they could say could take that away from me. Yes, it was
hurtful what they said but God's love for me was enough and
carried me through many painful experiences. And it still does.
You're not inferior or worthless. You are a beloved child of
God. He loves us with an everlasting love, a love that endures
forever.

I know TJ, just an area that satan can get to me....I'm working
it out with God, just lots of reminders lately of things that
should never have happened...long story and not willing to go
