How powerful is God?

The early church was a persecuted church. It is little wonder
that they needed a greater power then themselves to endure that
persecution. They submitted themselves to the gospel message
which is the very power of God. (Romans 1:16) The gospel is
the power of salvation, a power that is beyond what man is
capable of without God’s intervention. The power of God is the
power to not be deceived by the lies and schemes of Satan and
the world in which we live. (Matthew 22:29; Mark 12:24) It is
the power of God that brought Jesus Christ into this world,
(Luke 1:35) for Christ Himself is the power of God. (Luke
22:69) When we turn from the darkness of sin to the light of
Christ, we are turning to the power of God. (Acts 26:18) It is
a power that was demonstrated by Jesus being raised from the
dead. (Romans 1:4) A power that is made known through His
patience as He waits for us to come to Him. (Romans 9:22)
It is a power that is full of peace, joy, and hope even in the
midst of great persecution. (Romans 15:13)
The power of God is a power given to those who are saved. (I
Corinthians 1:18) The power to proclaim the gospel message.
(Romans 15:19)
It’s a power that allows us to live in His righteousness. (I
Corinthians 4:20) God’s power is the power to demolish
arguments, (II Corinthians 10:4) the power to be a servant of
the Most High God. (Ephesians 3:7) It’s an equipping power
that gives us everything we need to accomplish that which God
asks of us. (II Thessalonians 1:11; II Peter 1:3) God’s power
is a power that destroys fears and strengthens us with courage
and endurance. (II Timothy 1:8) It is the power over the
accuser, over satan, (Revelation 12:10) the power over plagues
(Revelation 16:9) and over death. (Revelation 20:6) It is
little wonder as we meditate on the power of God that the early
believers submitted themselves to the Power of God.

Yes, God is in complete control of everything. Nothing escapes
from His hand without Him knowing it.
