Enduring with pure joy....
DIR By: guest24

The last couple of weeks and really the last few months, my
patience has really been tested. Some days I did well others I
struggles something fierce to not just endure but to endure with
PURE JOY as we see in James 1:2-4
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face
trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your
faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so
that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
Enduring itself can be a real struggle sometimes not to mention
enduring with pure joy....so I was hoping that we could take
some time to share some of the techniques or strategies that you
use to endure trials with that pure joy that only God can give.

I try to take it one day at a time and not worry about tomorrow
or next week etc. I count my blessings because things could be
worse. That brings me joy.
I feel pure joy in knowing that God loves me and is with me
through everything. He never leaves me.
I also try not to listen to negativity from others who want to
judge or condemn me because of my circumstances. The people who
tell me that I'm not living right to be having health issues or
financial issues. It's as if they are telling me that I'm being
punished or that it's all God's doing. These kind of negative
things that people say are the same kind of things that the
accuser says. I get joy from knowing that isn't true. It seems
that people like that try to rob a person of their joy. To cause
doubt and uncertainty about God's love, mercy, kindness and
faithfulness.
The things that I endure make me stronger spiritually and
increases my faith and that certainly brings me pure joy. Even
if outwardly my body is breaking down, inwardly I am being
renewed day by day, just as scripture says. Yes, pure joy
knowing that. 2Cor. 4:16
I fix my eyes not on what is seen but on what is unseen. For
what is seen is temporary but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Cor.
4:18 This life is temporary.
1Cor. 2:9 But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, ear has not
heard, and upon the heart of man has not come up that which God
has prepared for those who love him.”
James 1:17 Every good and perfect gift descends from above, from
The Father of lights with whom there is no change nor a shadow
of variation.
Pure joy from scriptures like these and from God's promises. But
most of all, pure joy from God's love for me. Nothing and no one
can separate us from the love of God. That is the ultimate pure
joy.

truly been tested. A friend has been fighting to get her
daughter healed at the same time and her patience has been tried
too. One day as we were talking, I said to her that through it
all, I remained joyful because I could still see God working.
That has kind of become a secret message between the two of us,
it's a struggle and we grow weary but where can we still see God
working....such Joy is found in seeing God in the middle of our
struggles...amen thanks for the response.

I think I can relate. My patience has been tested many times.
I've struggled and grown weary too. My faith has carried me
through many storms in my life.
Heb. 6:18That by two unchangeable matters, because God cannot
lie about them, we who have sought refuge in him have great
comfort, and we may seize the hope which was promised to us, 19
Which we have as an anchor that holds fast in our soul, which
will not be moved,...

The challenge to endure with pure joy is still a challenge
sometimes but I can see God training me in that very thing
through the challenges that have found their way into my life.
