Father, I have sought Your blessings more than Your presence. I
have sought what I can gain from knowing about You instead of
knowing You. Help me stop all the religious studies activity
without your presence in those studies. Help me in striving to
earn Your love and blessing and take the time to know You.
Thank You, Father. Your presence is the blessing I seek. Amen.
A prayer I have started saying most nights.

Holy Father, Help me remember all that You have done for me.
Help me read Your word and plant it deep in my heart and in my
mind so it will guide me as I go through my day. Help me to
remember to read Your word daily. I pray this in Jesus' name.

be. I am so glad that You can take it and use it. As You do,
please help my faith grown and strengthen my faith that I may

Let us be thankful, Lord, for little things
The song of birds, the rapture of the rose;
Cloud-dappled skies, the laugh of limpid springs,
Drowned sunbeams and the perfume April blows;
Bronze wheat a-shimmer, purple shade of trees -
Let us be thankful, Lord of Life, for these!
Let us be grateful, God, for health serene,
The hope to do a kindly deed each day;
The faith of fellowship, a conscience clean,
The will to worship and the gift to pray;
For all of worth in us, of You a part,
Let us be grateful, God, with a humble heart.
Father, help us remember all these things as we struggle
We struggle with a divided nation
We struggle with an election that is dividing and not hearling
A nation that has family and friends turning against each other
Not of you Lord, but of politics, party, and dogma.
Help bring us back to you,
Help steer us to understanding, compassion, and cooperation
Steer us back to Your love.
Amen.

Holy Father, I admit freely that I let my emotions overwhelm
me. I do not allow myself to fully understand what it means
that You are my light, salvation, and stronghold. Forgive me,
Lord. I want Your peace. I want Your joy. I want to know You
more fully. Even today let me experience Your presence in my
life. I ask You to make me fully aware of Your love and power.
