Did my previous answer to Patrick help? Daniel was told to
seal up what he learned until the end times when it would be
fully revealed. This process of hiding a doctrine from the
majority and giving it only to a few to be revealed later is
what I tend to call a progressive revelation. Progressive would
refer to both any new info (Christ's divinity, for instance) and
to the way it is disseminated to individuals here and then there
until a fuller revelation later.

No not really.... Daniel's Book was only sealed up until John's
Revelation continued it. Of course those in the OT would not
have understood anyway. There is a big disagreement even to day
when the ends are printed in Revelation.

The Book of the Revelation of John cannot have been the
fulfillment of Daniel's scroll being opened in the end times
because it was written ABOUT the end times, not IN OR DURING
the end times. Daniels book more closely refers to the scroll of
Rev 10 which encourages more prophecy, supposedly about
something new.

[shadow=Blue, left]NO,,Daniel and Revelation are hand in Hand.
Chapter 12:.."And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are
closed up and sealed till the time of the end."
Rev. is about the end times. It was written in 95-96 and can be
considered written in the end days. Of course all of the Books
after Jesus' crucifixion are consider written during the "End
Days" fore we have been waiting for Jesus to remove His Bride
(CHurch of His BODY) from this earth before the 70thy week of
Daniel commences.
Again, Rev. and Dan. go hand in hand.
Daniel refers to the Antichrist to come in Dan 9:26-27. That is
long before Rev. 10.
We are talking about prophecy but the biggest concern I have is
that everyone who decides that the end times are not coming
because they already happened are not saved.
The Church (body of Christ) is still hear and according to
Revelation 4:1 on the Church is in Heaven. I can tell you , I
am not in Heaven yet.

The New testament canon itself speaks of a secret teaching:
John 20:9
rise again from the dead.
John 20:13 And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She
saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I
know not where they have laid him.
And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw
Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus? John 20:15
Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest
thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener?, saith unto him,
Sir, if thou have borne him? hence, tell me where thou hast laid
him, and I will take him away.
Mark 4:11-12 The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to
you. But to those on the outside everything is said in parables
so that, 'they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever
hearing but never understanding'.
Matt. 13:11-12 "He replied, "The knowledge of the secrets of the
kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.
Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance."
Matt. 11:25-26 "At that time Jesus said, "I praise you, Father,
Lord of heaven and Earth, because you have hidden these things
from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.
Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure."
Matthew 13:35 So was fulfilled what was spoken through the
prophet: "I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter things
hidden since the creation of the world."
If you are interested in what Paul has to say in the matter:
1 Cor. 2:6-8 "We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among
the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of
this age, who are coming to nothing. No, we speak of God's
secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God
destined for our glory before time began."
1 Cor. 4:1 "So then, men ought to regard us as servants of
Christ and as those entrusted with the secret things of God."
In Hebrews we are told by the author:
Heb. 5:11-14 "We have much to say about this, but it is hard to
explain because you are slow to learn. In fact, though by this
time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the
elementary truths of God's word all over again. You need milk,
not solid food! Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant,
is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But
solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained
themselves to distinguish good from evil.
We are permanently drinking milk instead of partaking of
spiritually mature solid food. We need to be spiritually mature,
but instead of moving forward we have come to halt.

If PROPHECY IS GIVEN WE NEED TO GET IT SOMEDAY...pretending it
is never going to happen is like a foolish virgin.
Sure is easier to attack me than to provide substantive
exegesis,eh?
