data. The adaptive optics unit is just a tilt/tip mirror used
to keep the stars steady during the exposure, that's all it is,
it's not magic, it's not the boogey man and it doesn't fake any
of the images. The camera and adaptive optics actually have no
way of knowing what kind of optic they are attached to. They
could be attached to any of a variety of telescopes and could
have various focal reducers attached. They have no way of know
what they're pointed at or what they're attached to, so there is
not even a way for them to theoretically fake the images they
produce because they'd have no idea what to generate. I hate to

tip mirror, there is no way for it to fake the images. The CCD
just gives raw data, it has no way of knowing what it is looking
at nor can it fake any images. Don't tell me what my equipment
does, you have never even seen one of these devices, let alone
opened it up to inspect the components. I have.

LX200, I believe that those images are real to you. Why aren't
they showing them on PBS NOVA or the Discovery channel? Because
they are not valid, they are not acceptable as REAL. I believe
that your equipment produces the images and footage. You are not
seeing distant galaxies from your backyard. BTW, don't insult me

They are real. Full stop. They came directly from my telescope
using nothing but glass, mirrors and a CCD which only delivers
raw pixel values, not pre-processed data like a consumer grade
camera.

Actually my images have been featured by Discover magazine as
well as Sky & Telescope.
