I was only talking specifically about the mention of the
afflictions. Sorry you have trouble understanding.

The KJV says "behind of the afflictions of Christ" not lacking.
However, I have seen "lacking" before and I think it was the KJV
- Did they revently change that, I wonder? With The KJV version
and the "lacking" version I tend to think that Paul was talking
about HIS OWN afflictions in the flesh, which he spoke of in
another verse.

No, not the KJV...This greek word "hysterēma" is used 9x
in 4 unique forms in the KJV . Below is how they are
distributed in the KJV.
The KJV translates Strong's G5303 in the following manner:
which is lacking (3x), want (3x), which is behind (1x), lack
(1x), penury (1x).
Hope this helps. Please never doubt the KJV. It is the same as
the 1611-1792 version. I might add, check you Bible for a
copyright of the KJV version itself. There is none. The only
copyrights are for the notes, maps, etc. All the other versions
are copyrighted as they are the product of one or more people's
re-interpretation. Not God's WORD!
DO you have 1611 version. The old English is a little hard to
read but it is a nice break. You can download one online to your
phone. If in doubt about the words in the 1792 KJV, you can
refer back to the 1611.
