British PM Tony Blair also repeatedly accused Iraq for having
weapons of mass destruction (if I understand correctly BEFORE

I do have some information on the CIA's recruiting journalists
to spread propaganda.
And I have a lot of information on Hollywood furthering the
agenda of Washington (including connections to the Pentagon and
CIA). But I think that deserves its own thread (maybe one day?).
There's actual "news" that is relevant in the context of this
thread...
President Donald Trump proposed creating a government-run TV
network that would broadcast globally to show the world how
great America is.
Trump tweeted: [quote]Throughout the world, CNN has a powerful

Something has to be done, including the possibility of the
United States starting our own Worldwide Network to show the
World the way we really are, GREAT![/quote]
There are already several US government-run TV and radio
broadcasters overseen by the US Agency for Global Media - Voice
of America, Radio Free Europe, Office of Cuba Broadcasting,
Radio Free Asia, and Middle East Broadcasting Networks.
Agency for Global Media describes its overarching goals as:

are universally acknowledged as key to free, open, democratic
societies, which in turn support American interests through
stability, peace, alliances, and trade;
2. Communicating America's democratic experience and values,
which serves the same purpose. In covering the United States, we

Trump's White House recently revoked CNN correspondent Jim
Acosta's press pass after Trump called Acosta "a rude, terrible
person".
A federal judge subsequently ordered the Trump administration to
reinstate Acosta's credentials. Even Rupert Murdoch’s Fox News
supported CNN against the White House in that legal dispute:
