       [2 Peter 1:20 KJV] "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the
       scripture is of any private interpretation." ******** I have
       heard this verse means we aren't entitled to interpret
       scripture. This verse isn't saying that. The verse means that
       what the prophets wrote was not of their own invention, they
       wrote what God gave them to write.
