PETER'S UNDERSTANDING OF SCRIPTURE WAS OPENED

[Luke 9:44 KJV] "Let these sayings sink down into your ears: for
the Son of man shall be delivered into the hands of men."
[Luke 9:45 KJV] "But they understood not this saying, and it was
hid from them, that they perceived it not: and they feared to
ask him of that saying." *********** Peter and the apostles
didn't comprehend why Christ had to die and rise again.
[Luke 24:27 KJV] "And beginning at Moses and all the prophets,
he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things
concerning himself." ************* Jesus expounded the
scriptures to two of those followers who witnessed the empty
tomb.
[Luke 24:45 KJV] "Then opened he their understanding, that they
might understand the scriptures," ********** In this verse
Christ opened the apostles understanding of the scriptures. It
isn't recorded what he said to them, however, i can surmise what
he didn't say to them. I think it likely that Christ opened
their understanding of himself from the law and prophets just as
he did to the two followers. I can say with certainty that he
didn't convey Paul's gospel to them because it was hidden until
revealed to Paul ************ [Ephesians 6:19 KJV] "And for me,
that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth
boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,"
****************** To further my assertion that Christ didn't
reveal all that the cross accomplished, is that Peter didn't
preach the cross, but continued to preach only faith in the name
of Christ for salvation **************{Acts [10:43 KJV] "To him
give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever
believeth in him shall receive remission of sins."
[Acts 2:30 KJV] "Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God
had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins,
according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his
throne;"
[Acts 2:31 KJV] "He seeing this before spake of the resurrection
of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh
did see corruption."
[Psalm 16:10 KJV] "For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell;
neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption."
********** Before this Peter had no understanding of Christ's
resurrection, but now, he speaks of the resurrection and quotes
from psalm from the law and prophets. His quoting from Psalm
aligns with Christ opening his understanding of this verse.
[1 Peter 2:24 KJV] "Who his own self bare our sins in his own
body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto
righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed."
[1 Peter 2:25 KJV] "For ye were as sheep going astray; but are
now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls."
[Isaiah 53:11 KJV] "He shall see of the travail of his soul,
[and] shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous
servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities."
[Isaiah 53:6 KJV] "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have
turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him
the iniquity of us all." *********** Here Peter is preaching out
of Isaiah, which further substantiates Christ giving him
understanding from the law and prophets. Peter was preaching
that Christ bore only the nation of Israel's sin, Israel is the
"many". Just as Isaiah, Peter says Israel was the stray Sheep
that return to their Shepherd.
