JESUS TAUGHT THE LORD'S PRAYER TO ISRAEL

The Lord's prayer has been engrained in our culture and hearts.
We pray this routinely and never examine it to see what Jesus
was telling them to pray for.
[Matthew 6:5 KJV] "And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as
the hypocrites [are]: for they love to pray standing in the
synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be
seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward."
[Matthew 6:6 KJV] "But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy
closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father
which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall
       reward thee openly."
[Matthew 6:7 KJV] "But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions,
as the heathen [do]: for they think that they shall be heard for
       their much speaking."
[Matthew 6:8 KJV] "Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your
Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him."
************* It can be clearly seen that Jesus was instructing
his disciples, and the Jews in attendance on the mount, about
       prayer.
[Matthew 6:9 KJV] "After this manner therefore pray ye: Our
Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name."
[Matthew 6:10 KJV] "Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth,
as [it is] in heaven." ************** Israel was to pray for
their millennial kingdom on earth. The prophets spoke of the
Davidic covenant, in which David's throne and his kingdom would
be established for ever ************* [2 Samuel 7:16 KJV] "And
thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before
thee: thy throne shall be established for ever."
[Isaiah 9:6 KJV] "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is
given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his
name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The
everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."
[Isaiah 9:7 KJV] "Of the increase of [his] government and peace
[there shall be] no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his
kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with
justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of
       hosts will perform this."
[Matthew 6:11 KJV] "Give us this day our daily bread." *********
Israel would have to endure the tribulation before Christ would
return to establish the kingdom. God will feed Israel in the
tribulation *********** [Revelation 12:6 KJV] "And the woman
fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of
God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred
       [and] threescore days."
[Matthew 6:12 KJV] "And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our
debtors." *********** Israel's forgiveness was conditional. To
be forgiven, they had to forgive ********** [Matthew 6:14 KJV]
"For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father
       will also forgive you:"
[Matthew 6:15 KJV] "But if ye forgive not men their trespasses,
neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."
[Matthew 6:13 KJV] "And lead us not into temptation, but deliver
us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the
glory, for ever. Amen." ********* Israel will be delivered
*********** [Psalm 121:4 KJV] "Behold, he that keepeth Israel
       shall neither slumber nor sleep."
[Psalm 121:7 KJV] "The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil:
he shall preserve thy soul." ********** the kingdom will be
established forever, Christ will reign on the earth and
believing Israel will reign with him *********** [Exodus 15:18
KJV] "The LORD shall reign for ever and ever."
[Psalm 10:16 KJV] "The LORD [is] King for ever and ever: the
heathen are perished out of his land."
[Psalm 145:11 KJV] "They shall speak of the glory of thy
kingdom, and talk of thy power;"
The Lord's prayer was Israel's prayer. It must be asked, why
pray a prayer not given to us. Why pray a prayer that is mostly
just repeated by rote with no thought given to content
Our instruction for prayer is given us thru Paul. *********** [1
Timothy 2:8 KJV] "I will therefore that men pray every where,
lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting."
       [Romans 12:12 KJV] "Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation;
       continuing instant in prayer;"
[Ephesians 6:18 KJV] "Praying always with all prayer and
supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all
perseverance and supplication for all saints;"
[Philippians 4:6 KJV] "Be careful for nothing; but in every
thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your
requests be made known unto God."
[Colossians 4:2 KJV] "Continue in prayer, and watch in the same
       with thanksgiving;"
