THE BURNT SACRIFICE OF THE HERD WAS A SHADOW OF CHRIST

[Leviticus 1:3 KJV] "If his offering [be] a burnt sacrifice of
the herd, let him offer a male without blemish: he shall offer
it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of
       the congregation before the LORD."
[Leviticus 1:4 KJV] "And he shall put his hand upon the head of
the burnt offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make
       atonement for him."
[Leviticus 1:9 KJV] "But his inwards and his legs shall he wash
in water: and the priest shall burn all on the altar, [to be] a
burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour
unto the LORD." ********* Jesus was our sacrificial lamb. The
sacrifice of the herd was a male just as Jesus. The sacrifice
was without blemish just as Christ was without sin. It was a
voluntary offer just as Christ laid down his own life. The offer
was accepted as an atonement just as Christ is our atonement.
The offer had to be washed with water just as Christ was water
       baptized by John.
