[John 8:51 KJV] "Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep
my saying, he shall never see death." ******** this is the core
issue of this verse ********** [John 8:52 KJV] "Then said the
Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is
dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my
saying, he shall never taste of death." ********** the Jews were
saying that Abraham was dead so Christ had a devil in saying
that they would never see death. ************ [[Hebrews 11:10
KJV] "For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose
builder and maker [is] God." *********** Abraham was looking for
that city of God in the earthly Davidic millennial
kingdom.*********** {John 8:56 KJV] "Your father Abraham
rejoiced to see my day: and he saw [it], and was glad."
********* Jesus was saying Abraham was alive and was glad to see
Jesus's coming to establish his kingdom. Abraham was not dead,
but alive indeed. ********** [Luke 13:28 KJV] "There shall be
weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and
Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God,
and you [yourselves] thrust out." ********* Abraham was alive to
see Christ's coming to establish the promised kingdom, which
Abraham would inherit.
