       A SABBATH HIGH DAY
   DIR By: doug
       Date: March 28, 2026, 1:13 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
[John 19:31 KJV] "The Jews therefore, because it was the
preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on
the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,)
besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and [that] they
       might be taken away."
Some one said the first day of the feast of unleavened bread was
not a high sabbath day so let's look at these verses.
[Leviticus 23:3 KJV] "Six days shall work be done: but the
seventh day [is] the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye
shall do no work [therein]: it [is] the sabbath of the LORD in
all your dwellings." ********** This verse speaks of the weekly
Saturday sabbath. The weekly sabbath is said to be a holy
convocation. A holy convocation is a day of rest, in which, no
work is to be done. ************* [Leviticus 23:24 KJV] "Speak
unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in
the first [day] of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a
memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation."
********** This day is not the weekly sabbath, yet is called a
sabbath, a holy convocation. Contrary to some saying a feast day
can't be called a sabbath, these verses say otherwise.
