MY RESPONSE IN REGARD TO A HIGH DAY PREPARATION
   DIR By: doug
       Date: March 27, 2026, 11:22 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
[John 19:30 KJV] "When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar,
he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the
ghost." *********** This is Thursday and Jesus dies 3PM
[John 19:31 KJV] "The Jews therefore, because it was the
preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on
the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,)
besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and [that] they
might be taken away." ********** This verse says the Jews didn't
want the bodies to remain on the cross on the sabbath day. This
was a sabbath day. Friday is normally the preparation day before
the Saturday weekly sabbath, it is NOT A SABBATH DAY as this
verse says it is. They were going to break his legs because it
was the preparation for the first day of the feast of unleavened
bread. This was a high day and a special preparation day during
       this passover feast.
[John 19:38 KJV] "And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a
disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought
Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate
gave [him] leave. He came therefore, and took the body of
Jesus." ********** this just establishes the timeline that
Joseph came right after Jesus was crucified.
[Mark 15:42 KJV] "And now when the even was come, because it was
the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath,"
************ Mark here clearly identifies that it is now Friday,
the preparation day before the Saturday sabbath. This
preparation day could not be the same preparation as in John
19:31 because the preparation day in John was the day BEFORE
       THIS FRIDAY, NOT SATURDAY.
[Mark 15:43 KJV] "Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable
counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and
went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus."
************ If it's now Friday, after Thursday's sunset, and
Joseph begged his body, this means Jesus was crucified before
Thursday's sunset. Before Thursday's sunset makes it a Thursday.
[Luke 23:53 KJV] "And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen,
and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never
       man before was laid."
[Luke 23:54 KJV] "And that day was the preparation, and the
sabbath drew on." *********** This the Friday preparation before
       the Saturday sabbath.
[Luke 23:55 KJV] "And the women also, which came with him from
Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his
       body was laid."
[Luke 23:56 KJV] "And they returned, and prepared spices and
ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the
commandment." ******* they rested on the Saturday sabbath.
[Matthew 27:62 KJV] "Now the next day, that followed the day of
the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together
unto Pilate," *********** this is now the Saturday sabbath
