MY RESPONSE TO THIS ATEMPT TO INVALIDATE SCRIPTURE

[Matthew 12:40 KJV] "For as Jonas was three days and three
nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three
days and three nights in the heart of the earth."
Here is my response to an objection to this verse **************
YOu are hung up on the english term three days and three nights!
But if you just go see a rabbi or orthodox Jew you would learn.
but you are too proud and wish to hang on to your "special
revelations" instead of learning truth.
I would venture that you didn't come up with this on your own. I
have come across this same objection to explain away three days
and three nights in this forum and from their articles. A Friday
crucifixion can be justified by Jesus's following declarations:
First here is the Friday crucifixion timeline:
Friday Jesus is crucified. This the first day and the first
night
Saturday is the second day and the second night
Sunday is the third day. Jesus rises before dawn.
[Matthew 26:61 KJV] "And said, This [fellow] said, I am able to
destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days."
************ a Friday crucifixion fails to demonstrate that
Jesus would be perfected in three days. Friday is DAY ONE,
Saturday is DAY TWO. Only two days not three.
[Mark 8:31 KJV] "And he began to teach them, that the Son of man
must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and [of]
the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three
days rise again." ************ a Friday crucifixion fails to
support Christ being raised after three days. Friday is ONE DAY,
Saturday is DAY TWO. We have two days not three.
[Matthew 12:40 KJV] "For as Jonas was three days and three
nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three
days and three nights in the heart of the earth." **************
Now this one poses a problem and dictates this verse must be
discarded. You have only TWO DAYS and TWO NIGHTS (Friday's
sunset and Saturday's sunset) not three days and three nights.
This is why you have to get rid of this pesky three days and
three nights stuff, it's just an idiom/ it's just symbolic/ it's
just figurative/ you just don't get the way they talked back
then. The fact is this verse refutes a Friday crucifixion. A
Friday crucifixion is the doctrine of men.
