THE DAY OF THE LORD AND ARMAGEDDON

[Zechariah 14:1 KJV] "Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and
thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee."
[Zechariah 14:2 KJV] "For I will gather all nations against
Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses
rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go
forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be
cut off from the city."
[Zechariah 14:3 KJV] "Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight
against those nations, as when he fought in the day of
battle."*************** Here is what the prophets say in regard
to the day of the LORD***************[Joel 2:31 KJV] "The sun
shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before
the great and the terrible day of the LORD come."
[Isaiah 13:10 KJV] "For the stars of heaven and the
constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall
be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her
light to shine."***************The day of the LORD will be
recognized by these cosmic events.************[Matthew 24:29
KJV] "Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the
sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the
stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens
shall be shaken:"
[Matthew 24:30 KJV] "And then shall appear the sign of the Son
of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth
mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of
heaven with power and great glory."******************The coming
of the Lord Jesus Christ will occur at the end of the
tribulation. His coming is the day of the LORD as evidenced by
the celestial signs.*****************[Joel 3:2 KJV] "I will also
gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of
Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and
[for] my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the
nations, and parted my land."
[Joel 3:12 KJV] "Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the
valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the
heathen round about."
[Joel 3:14 KJV] "Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of
decision: for the day of the LORD [is] near in the valley of
decision."
[Joel 3:15 KJV] "The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the
stars shall withdraw their shining."
[Revelation 16:14 KJV] "For they are the spirits of devils,
working miracles, [which] go forth unto the kings of the earth
and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that
great day of God Almighty."
[Revelation 16:16 KJV] "And he gathered them together into a
place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon."
[Revelation 19:19 KJV] "And I saw the beast, and the kings of
the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war
against him that sat on the horse, and against his army."
[Revelation 19:21 KJV] "And the remnant were slain with the
sword of him that sat upon the horse, which [sword] proceeded
out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their
flesh."******************Christ's coming and the day of the LORD
initiates Armageddon. The Lord Jesus Christ destroys the armies
that come against Jerusalem and against Christ.

stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which [is] before
Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in
the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, [and
there shall be] a very great valley; and half of the mountain
shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south."
********************** After defeating the armies the Lord Jesus
Christ touches his feet down on the mount of Olives.
