We'll get into "science" after this first few posts.
The Ancient Conflict : [size=12pt]According to scripture we are
all born into a spiritual war. It's an invisible war and it's
not broadcast on the evening news. The vast majority of people
are oblivious to this.
When the serpent entered the garden and tempted Eve and hence,
Adam, to disobey God and as a result, sin and death entered the
flat earth and put a curse on humanity. Some time after when
mankind continued to populate the earth, the first full assault
on humanity was launched.
It could be likened to an alien invasion except these fallen
entities didn't come from a distant galaxy or some far off star
"system". They descended from above (hard to do on a globe), and
together they conspired to abandon their assigned posts in the
firmament. Where the ether carried their luminescence to the
Four Corners of the earth.
These watcher angels had fallen from their first estate which
God set for them (scriptural proof available for all of my
Biblical references). They came down and began a sort of
colonization or campaign. They sired the Nephilum, their hybrid
abomination offspring, who ravaged the land and fed on men. They
corrupted the genetics of humanity, animals and plants.
Using the knowledge they had been given by God to perform their
original tasks in the heavens, they proceeded to teach mankind
many forbidden things. In order to civilize man and equip them
to build cities and kingdoms where these fallen angelic beings
could rule as gods.
The knowledge bestowed to mankind was presented as being "keys"
to enlightenment and the know-how to eventually take our seats
beside them as gods, through "technology". These were all lies
bringing nothing but destruction, perversion, wickedness and
death. God finally became so grieved by man's evil and
wickedness and the corruption of His creation He chose to
destroy the earth with water and begin again.
Sparing one worthy family and the animals that they took. When
the water receded the earth had been cleansed from the evil that
was destroying it. God promised Noah that He would never again
destroy with water and set a rainbow in the sky as a sign of
this covenant. The great empires of the watchers had been
erased.

The angels that conspired against God were banished to the
deepest bowels of the earth, held there in darkness until the
time of the final judgement of all things. But no sooner than
the earth started filling again with trees and plants and
animals etc., and mankind was multiplying in the earth again did
the enemy start working seeking to rebuild what God destroyed.
satan's beloved empire whose sole purpose was the destruction
and enslavement of mankind. But no longer did the enemy have the
power to send his minions to the earth to take wives and build
cities. No longer could they walk among men and be revered. The
satanic kingdom now had to be done though the worshiping of
invisible deities forced to orchestrate their rule through
interdimensional communication.
Since God had bound them behind a spiritual veil, once again
forbidden knowledge was spread among these newly formed nations.
So in the courts of all the human kingdoms worked a host of
occult priesthoods, sorcerers, mediums, astrologers and
practitioners of divination.
People started sacrificing to these false idols to show their
loyalty to the false gods, building temples, having orgies and
such. The rebellion against God resumed as Nimrod attempted and
failed to build a tower into the heavens and throughout all of
the kingdoms of the earth the languages were confused by God.
After centuries go by and the wickedness and occult and pagan
practices were increasing, God chose to intervene again.

The Conspiracy That Is Not
[color=limegreen]I will create a spoiler to contain this post
but for now, this is a basic and short explanation of why there
is no huge conspiracy with flat earth. Number one is nobody
believes flat earth.[/color]
[glow=red,2,300]Just an update. I have a lot to cover with this
subject and hopefully the first dozen posts give a good overview
of Biblical Flat Earth. I haven't gotten to the scriptures yest
but I will. Please look at the post at the top of this page
also.
The biggest question people have and the biggest reason they
will not research flat earth is because they think millions or
at least tens of thousands of people would have to be "in on it"
- Not so. Only 24 people are alleged to have ever been high
enough to see a globe from space. Most are deceased. 24 people
and whoever might have seen REAL ACTUAL IMAGES.
Conspiracies work on levels, layers. Like an onion. Everybody
already believes in a globe so it's not hard to keep something a
secret. Pilots don't go high enough, satellite employees and
contractors each do individual things with no knowledge of what
they do in fake space.
The calculations and specifications are set to a globe because
that's how they set them. They can easily use the same
mathematics in flat earth. They don't know. GPS employees and
Direct TV employees don't know. None of the above mentioned
people CAN know.
So who is left? Lifetime appointed military and intelligence
people and very few I would imagine. No temporary employee
politicians will ever know. Trump has no clue. Perhaps certain
world leaders and powerful men have know.
Even Einstein had no clue. No picture until 1972 and that's the
ONLY one. Make sense? The point is that this is NOT a massive
conspiracy involving millions of people that either lie or are
just to stupid to know they are being duped.
Think about this. The globe only exists in your mind. No real
images exist. Cartoons. CGI. Photo Shop. Artist drawings.
Digital Creations. Outer Space is only in the movies and TV. You
have NEVER seen it but by looking at the sky. Billions of people
are in love with fake space pictures and propaganda. The globe
in only in your imagination.
Imagine that the Holy Bible is true and that we are the center
and focus of God's creation. We are in an enclosed flat earth
and cosmos with a dome firmament above. Exactly like the Bible
says. If you research the history of the occult and how it
became science and the history of controlled cosmology and all
of the numerous connections you'll see what I see. 8 months so

[size=18pt]A New Nation :[/size] God intervened again by setting
apart a nation, a people, a kingdom to bear His name. From
Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, down through Moses, Aaron and Joshua,
Judges like Samson and Gideon, Kings like David and Solomon,
Prophets like Elijah, Daniel and Samuel. Through the rise and
fall of many demonic empires.
The God of all creation revealed Himself and His plan to redeem
humanity from the curse of sin (and later as in now, the curse
of the law), and death and demonic oppression. Finally, from the
town of Nazareth the Promised Messiah emerged, the Son of God,
the Word made flesh, whose sacrifice would free the world from
the curse, who would save mankind and make it possible for us to
be reborn in the Spirit.
Jesus Christ would now live IN us, and from that point until
present the spiritual war took on a new twist. For decades and
centuries after the resurrection the word of and truth of God
began to spread through Christianity. Freeing mankind from the
bondage of sin that had held them captive for generations. For
the first time since the flood, people began to understand who
and what they had been in servitude to the pagan kingdoms.
Throughout Asia, Europe and parts of Africa, the truth of God
and Christ kept spreading, increasing, declining and increasing
again over centuries. satan used his puppet emperors of the
Roman empire to torture, imprison and persecute the first
Christians. This only revealed more the power of the gospel of
Christ and the hope of eternal life that He brought to bear.
Faith in Christ spread abroad. The Roman empire crumbled under
it's own heathen weight. Now satan began to re-brand his agenda
from trying to crush the spread of the truth of Christ to
usurping it. Now satan began re-branding some of the old demonic
kingdoms and demonic occult priesthoods and "Christianizing"
them.
Seducing people with wealth, power and earthly pleasures and
corrupt the Church of Christ from within. Pagan temples were
"re-purposed" as Christian temples, pagan rites and rituals were
re-purposed into Christian ceremonies etc. The Catholic church
played a big role and still do. But nearer the beginnings and
for centuries, scores of thousands of people were kept far from
the Bible.
But by the grace of God the truth endured and the gospel spread.
The age of Imperialism came and despite the evils of
Imperialism, the gospel spread with it's spread though ships and
colonization. The kingdom of satan was amplified but he was
continually forced to work from the shadows. The occult
knowledge and pagan rituals that went back to ancient Babylon
were preserved through the centuries by various strains of
secret societies, esoteric mystery schools and underground
brotherhoods.
This is where it remained for the most part, in the shadows, but
as much control over the earth that satan had through
governments, military and financial means, the truth of God was
so widespread that hardly anyone OPENLY worshiped Lucifer.
Witchcraft and Luciferian beliefs were not something that
populations as a whole would readily and openly accept.
This is something that satan would have to achieve if he were to
rule the world and declare himself to be God. In order to get
the world back to where satan wanted it he had to implement
another strategy. Something so big that eve those who know that
satan exists wouldn't thin he could pull off. In ancient times
and even recently people were still aware of the realm that God
created for us to live in.
When the truth of Jesus Christ was made known, the Biblical
Cosmology had been given it's full context. The distinction
between the creator and creation was made clear and the futility
of the fallen angels' rebellion was made plain to see. In order
for satan to claim he is the supreme being and worthy of our
worship, he would have to rewrite the entire script.
He would have to repackage himself and his message he reset the
setting and the stage itself like an old Shakespearean play to
reintroduce the old characters. satan needed a whole new angle.
Yet he did it with an old familiar tactic. Bestowing ancient
wisdom and forbidden knowledge to humanity again, playing upon
our pride and arrogance.
This occult knowledge and "gnosis" was now called SCIENCE.
Science and the Occult
Much of the groundwork had already been laid in ancient Greece
and the "Philosophers" who actually studied the occult practices
and mystery schools before Jesus was born. They then proceeded
to pontificate on these demonic occult practices and pagan
rituals.This effectively sanitized these beliefs and practices
because they were legitimized by these philosophers.
Later generations saw these men as wise and educated and simply
the profound thoughts and musings of mere men. During the
Renaissance in Europe, many of these ideas once again began to
take hold as they were increasingly considered harmonious with
the Bible, which we know is not true. Slowly these ideas became
embedded within theology and theologians and academia, as well
as things related to Hermes Trismegistus and the like.
All of this translated into Latin and disseminated among
intellectuals with interest in such material. The Kabbala too
began being studied anew by many monks and "thinkers" and
together with writings on Alchemy which "allegedly" came from
Muslim mystics, these three veins of occult knowledge began to
spread.
How little do most students realize that the bulk of those
individuals revered today as being the pioneers and visionaries
of materialistic science were in fact greatly influenced by
concepts, teachings of occult manuscripts with the core tenets
of Mysticism. Da Vinci, Newton, Francis Bacon, Robert Flood,
Copernicus, all names we learn about in "school".
We learn that these men simply derived their genius discoveries
by way of pure observation and logical deduction. However, a
further look at the methods and ways they arrived at their
"discoveries" and conclusions while all coincidentally reading
the same occult mystic materials reveals that no, these
"discoveries" were also in ancient mystic teachings.
The Copernican cosmology of a vast universe and planetary
systems and even a Big Bang to start it all off can be found in
the Kabbalistic texts from long before Copernicus. The concepts
of molecules, atoms and chemical reactions, elemental
transmutations by way of atomic fusion and fission, were first
presented in the more imprecise writings of Alchemy.
The idea that nature and the cosmos were governed by invisible
forces and laws which could be discovered and calculated and
reapplied through various technological means, are actually
underlying precepts of hermeticism. With a lot of help from the
well financed occult brotherhoods and secret societies, such as
the Rosa Crucians and Freemasons, Jesuits and the Royal Academy,
the first institution dedicated to the advancement of
"scientific" understanding.
The "universe" suddenly got very very BIG and God became very
very removed. To the point that it was believed that the
universe could have formed without God. Models of the Copernican
THEORY were expanded and refined. Darwin stepped in to explain
how LIFE could have emerged from the primordial ooze long after
the had formed after billions of years.
Universities and Lecture Halls largely built, staffed and
maintained by the same wealthy "brotherhoods", secret societies
and organizations, became hostile territory to anyone who
opposed the n"newly discovered" science. The "universe was now
presented as a vast almost infinite space with our tiny blue
planet somewhere in the middle perhaps.
And now we might "control" this "planet" but we may not be
alone. In fact, it's now fairly reasonable to believe alien life
exists, even extremely intelligent and advanced life forms. So
the stage was set and the same set of characters could emerge
with new costumes, they exchanged the robes for white lab coats
and space suits.
[b]The 20th century
So much happened in a 100 year span compared to all the
centuries before, it would be difficult and daunting to try
covering it all here. In a nutshell, satan has established a new
but old way of doing business and facilitating and "managing"
ways to bring the fallen entities back to earth.
In the halls of academia this science so called can now
theoretically disperse the idea the "something" could could come
down to earth as in "Aliens" for instance, and so the
dimensional or spiritual veil must be considered again.
The barrier that God seems to have put in place to stop the
watchers before the Flood. Could fallen angels once again reveal
themselves to mankind as alien "saviors" and put in place to
"govern" satan's earthly kingdom? Can demonic spirits even now,
manifest themselves in the physical realm, inhabiting people,
moving objects and attacking individuals? Yes, I believe and at
least "perhaps".
Yet the ability for the demonic to manifest in the physical
world is still very limited. The Bible seems to indicate that
this veil will remain in place until shortly before the return
of Jesus Christ. When it will be removed and the spirit of the
antichrist will have a period of unprecedented access to earth
and humanity one last time before satan meets his own end.
I have a lot of questions and certainly don't have all the
answers. I'm not an expert on Biblical eschatology or end times
prophecy, and the rise of Scientism and it's roots in occultism.
But my recent studies tell me and others that quantum physics
and quantum mechanics play a significant role in what the Bible
refers to and could be the Great Deception.
Atomism and the progression into modern atomic theory, string
theory, dark matter and Massive Hadron Colliders. The atom has
long been split with fearsome destructive power or energy
producing sources. Has this quantum realm been undeniably
proven? Has it? Is it simply coincidence that all of these
occult connections exist?
Today's researchers, physics researchers and scientists point to
an uncanny multitude of similarities with new age quantum ideas
and theories and ancient Kabbalistic and ancient forms of
hermeticism, Hindu and Alchemist writings.
Through the history of Atomism we see the familiar trend of an
original mystical philosophy crafted into what is now considered
only a knowledge and materialistic science base.
Ironically, we have been lead back to these original forms of
hermeticism. Has mankind been tricked in to building the very
"machines" that will serve as the key to unleashing a large
number of entities from a dimensional prison. Led to believe
that we are reaching for immortality, when really we are
"playing God".
None of us had any idea this modern (last 500 years) was all
Kabbalism because we were all told it was science. Science tells
us now that string theory can't be debunked yet and that every
other rival theory fails in exactly the 10th and the 26th
dimensions.
No kidding, really? Just believe. Scientists and especially CERN
and related fields idolize these occult ancient teachings, they
rave about them and think it's magical. Seduced. Strong
Delusion.
They admit, "it's as if somebody is playing a trick on us" and
"we don't have a good way of looking at it" - Some think CERN is
attempting to reach other dimensions and demonic realms. If you
understand what divination is and how the Bible forbids it,
because it includes contacting the demonic realms and this is
what ALL of occultism really is.
Quantum entanglement is now used as a proof that the ancient
occult teachings were correct, as a vindication of science. Of
course there are many many more real materialistic scientists
who disagree with the "leadership" of the scientific "community"
and the tension builds.More and more people are looking at
quantum physics as a source and a connection to spirituality,
instead of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.
As we can see, the reasons for hiding the truth of the shape of
the earth and the truth about the Enclosed Flat Earth and Cosmos
are many. I have posted in this thread about how conspiracies
work very smoothly and the "levels of knowledge" as well as the
VERY FEW who could possibly have ever seen the earth from high
enough in space or the REAL unaltered images which must exist.
Christians and non-Christians should be made aware and research
these things and search the scriptures.

So this is the latest lie from NASA - (Never A Straight Answer)
- I'm not buying it, are you? Did they just happen to catch the
"bright" side of the moon since we can never see the dark side
of the moon here on earth? It's totally CGI or photo shop
guaranteed, they all are if you examine the images with the
needed software.

support this claim. Here's the birds eye view of calculating the
Moon distance deception.
After crunching the values you are left with one number, let's
say for argument's sake that number is 27,000 (I made this up
for argument's sake). Now the last step of the formula is to
divide 27000 by a factor. We all know divide means to break the
whole into smaller pieces. But there's a catch, if you divide
any number into ANY value that's between 0-1 you actually have
an answer that is GREATER than original.
For example:
8 pieces divided by 4=2 pieces.
But
8 pieces divided by 0.25=32 pieces.
This is one justification of just how sly and cunning this
deception truly is. So if trig value for moon distance is 27000,
you would divide by a number>1 and reach an answer<27000, in
reality, like I alluded to, about 3000 miles. Ahhh but since we
MUST account for curve we inject a variable that reduces our
divisor to, surprise, a value in between 0-1 effectively
increasing the total to>27000 or in this case the alleged 230
thousand miles or so of pure fantasy that is currently alleged
as the distance today.
The videographed proof of this rests on YouTube and was
presented by user Jeranism and friends. Here's the catch, I
firmly believe Jeranism is cointelpro, BUT to remain credible,
even the opposition must filter in truth from time to time. Not
only is this a time but they placed video shots of the
spreadsheet with the formulas on the screen and provided a
detailed breakdown of every step of the calculation. So if you'd
rather not wait for me to recreate, there's your source.

So basically, the Bible tells us that there is a dome above the
earth, that the earth never moves and the sun and moon DO move
and many other descriptions in the Bible can only be for an
enclosed flat earth. The military nuked the dome and mapped it
using nuclear weapons in the early 60s. elevision and radio
waves are used in conjuction with the dome. Now, NASA (Never A
Straight Answer) comes out with this garbage, as they always do
for "damage control". This is a very interesting link that I

radio communications — have been found to interact with
particles in space, affecting how and where they move. At times,
these interactions can create a barrier around Earth against
natural high energy particle radiation in space. These results,

“A number of experiments and observations have figured out that,
under the right conditions, radio communications signals in the
VLF frequency range can in fact affect the properties of the
high-energy radiation environment around the Earth,” said Phil
Erickson, assistant director at the MIT Haystack Observatory,
Westford, Massachusetts.
VLF signals are transmitted from ground stations at huge powers
to communicate with submarines deep in the ocean. While these
waves are intended for communications below the surface, they
also extend out beyond our atmosphere, shrouding Earth in a VLF
bubble. This bubble is even seen by spacecraft high above
Earth’s surface, such as NASA’s Van Allen Probes, which study
electrons and ions in the near-Earth environment.
The probes have noticed an interesting coincidence — the outward
extent of the VLF bubble corresponds almost exactly to the inner
edge of the Van Allen radiation belts, a layer of charged
particles held in place by Earth’s magnetic fields. Dan Baker,
director of the University of Colorado’s Laboratory for
Atmospheric and Space Physics in Boulder, coined this lower
limit the “impenetrable barrier” and speculates that if there
were no human VLF transmissions, the boundary would likely
stretch closer to Earth. Indeed, comparisons of the modern
extent of the radiation belts from Van Allen Probe data show the
inner boundary to be much farther away than its recorded
position in satellite data from the 1960s, when VLF
transmissions were more limited.
With further study, VLF transmissions may serve as a way to
remove excess radiation from the near-Earth environment. Plans
are already underway to test VLF transmissions in the upper
atmosphere to see if they could remove excess charged particles
— which can appear during periods of intense space weather, such
as when the sun erupts with giant clouds of particles and
energy.[/b][/size]

From my good friend Gleason92 @ Theology Forums, the BIG Forum
that I operate. Gleason is more advanced in his research, study
and knowledge of flat earth than me perhaps and has years of
experience behind him whereas I'm only 8 months into my study &
research. Things are heating up in the top echelons of the flat
earth "spokespeople" :
The flood as we know was not simply a rainstorm rather the
windows of heaven opened so I would gather the levels could be
higher than our current ice wall and could have reached the base
of the dome beyond the wall. The ice wall may not have even
existed in the days of Noah, before the great flood and the
current ice could be a remnant from the great flood.
We will never know because the field of academic science and the
longest running treaty in the history of humanity has a vested
interest in ensuring we never know.
I mean this flood created the geologic column that academia
deceptively uses as proof of old Earth while never admitting the
perfectly reasonable alternative....a cataclysmic flood could
have caused enough trauma to the sample, in a MUCH shorter
timeframe, to yield the same results.
This is why it's silly that we are essentially reduced to "who
has the biggest..... College credentials". It's the last vestige
of a losing argument that begins with willful ignorance of
what's already posted in these 70+ pages.
Of course going the "credential" route also can lead to Dr.
Robert Sungenis, who is way more studied in academia than the
likes of Cobra and xenn and after about 10 years of digging deep
into the material concluded we live in a geocentric universe,
which your may ascribe to as well and is just a stone's throw
from flat Earth truth.
I must admit I have egg on my face. PJ has been promoting the
documentary "the principle" for quite some time. I never carved
out the time to watch it and felt a little guilty about that.
Now for those serious about flat Earth truth, this is the place
to start.
What I didn't really realize, was this was the Kate Mulgrew
narrated documentary and I watched it already in 2015 or 2016.
See the documentary came out in in October of 14 I believe but
there was this hoopla in MSM the prior April because the
geniuses in academia cried they were bamboozled into looking
foolish for supporting heliocentricity on a geocentrist
documentary.
Those fake news articles the prior April were where I first
stumbled on the great documentary. Secondly, I only knew of Dr.
Sungenis from his Catholic apologetic work, I didn't know he was
both a geocentrist since 2003 and the guy who made the
principle.
Now, full disclosure, Dr. Sungenis believes the Earth is NOT
flat. But the difference between the likes of him vs. A cobra or
xenn is he both understands and respects the position and speaks
to it intelligently using his education to engage in actual
talking points. What he doesn't do is show silly pictures and
handwave away all the ahem *problems* with the globe model.
If you have any interest, the latest developments in flat Earth
truth are very intriguing.....
Kent Hovind is sick of addressing flat Earth questions directed
to him so he recently partnered with Dr. Sungenis to tell the
world how wrong we are. But Hovind is a heliocentrist so it's
the old enemy of my enemy is my friend.
They then targeted Rob Skiba as the representative of flat
Earth. Hovind then challenged Skiba to a debate, this all
unfolded the past 2 weeks or so.
Skiba officially responded with a counter offer since it's not
exactly fair with 2 on 1. Skiba said Hovind vs. Sungenis debate
first on helio vs Geo and he'll debate the winner on flat Earth.
Hovind is pretending that's a solid no to his debate request so
he's pretended to move on. I believe yesterday or today is the
deadline for Hovind to respond. So if Hovind is a no to the
debate, he loses and Skiba vs. Sungenis.
Well last night Skiba uploaded a one hour 45 minute interview
between himself and Sungenis that is very enlightening and I
highly recommend everyone watches it.

In my mind and with agreement in the flat earth community, the
earth is the parts we know and live in surrounded by oceans. In
the enclosed flat earth, the oceans are held in by an ice wall
that circles what we call earth and thereby containing the
water. As the images previous in this thread show and we all
know that water MUST BE CONTAINED.
This also lines up perfectly with scripture as shown below as
well as in other scriptures. In addition, it is believed that
there could be hundreds, at least, or maybe thousands of miles
of frozen unreachable land and ice and who knows? BEYOND the 360
degree circle of ice that surrounds us, and are the "bounds" for
the waters in the earth, set by God according to scripture. This
unknown land and ice and frozen tundra can't be reached and the
"edge" can't be found because of distance, temps, weather, fuel
capacity, communications and other factors.
People ask about the Four Corners of the earth in scripture and
I say the land beyond the ice wall circle COUL D form a square
shape with the CIRCLE OF THE EARTH, (Isaiah 40:22 KJV - and he
knew the difference between a ball and circle , as proven in
scripture) and thus forming the Four Corners as shown in the
image. Everything makes sense to me in this entire deception and
flat earth reality of this earth. Please, never take my word for
anything and research for yourself because that's the only way
you can decide.

this thread I will devote a whole page of 15 posts with
scripture and Biblical evidence for a Flat Motionless Earth and
an Enclosed Earth and Cosmos. This thread will not be for
debating flat earth but I have a Debunking Flat Earth Thread
here where I will debate all comers, even groups of globers.
Until the next two pages get here enjoy the first posts and
videos and thank you for thinking on your own. Research in your
spare time and in a few months you can make an educated decision
based on the evidence and/or lack of evidence from both sides.
Please, if you begin to research this you must know that the
Flat Earth Society is a Fake organization and does NOT represent
true Flat Earthers. You don't have to be a Christian to believe
what the Bible says or to consider the reality of the earth we
live in.

On the second day in the Genesis narrative the Lord calls for
there to be a "firmament" in the "midst of the waters" to divide
the waters:
"And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the
waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God
made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the
firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it
was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and
the morning were the second day."
(Genesis 1:6-8 KJV)
The term "firmament" and its identity has been one of the
greatest puzzles concerning the Creation account, mostly because
of its Hebrew definition:

from 7554; properly, an expanse, i.e. the firmament or
(apparently) visible arch of the sky:—firmament.
רָקַע raqa` raw-kah'
a primitive root; to pound the earth (as a sign of passion); by
analogy to expand (by hammering); by implication, to overlay
(with thin sheets of metal):—beat, make broad, spread abroad
(forth, over, out, into plates), stamp, stretch.
Most people interpret this to mean just the expanse of the sky
(the atmosphere) or outer space, or both (which it is), but the
full meaning goes well beyond that simplistic interpretation.
The creation of the firmament is associated with the placement
of some sort of structure.
Many modern scholars consign the term "firmament" as a relic of
a pre-scientific culture and translate the Hebrew word raqia as
a "dome" or "vault" in some modern Bibles. It is rendered as
"firmament" in the KJV. The problem that puzzles people is the
implication in the Hebrew language of the firmament being a
firm, fixed structure (FIRMament). That structure and word
choice can be explained in the context of the
Ruin-Reconstruction interpretation of Genesis.
Young Earth Creationists have interpreted the "waters above the
firmament" as a theoretical "water canopy" which once surrounded
the Earth but no longer exists. They cite this as their source
for the waters of Noah's flood. This is incorrect, and a concept
that does not exactly hold water (pun intended) when closely
examined within the literal framework of the Bible's Genesis
narrative. The reason is because of what is said in this
passage:
"And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the
heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for
signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And let them be
for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the
earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater
light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night:
he made the stars also."
(Genesis 1:14-16 KJV)
This verse says that the Sun, Moon, and Stars are "in" the
firmament. Therefore, applying the rules of grammar and logic,
those waters that are "above the firmament" must be above the
Sun, Moon and Stars. That means these waters are above the
visible cosmos. For some this is a hard pill to swallow, but
that is exactly what the Bible is saying.
"Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that [be]
above the heavens."
(Psalms 148:4 KJV)
The Bible says that all wisdom and knowledge is found in the
Lord Jesus Christ, the incarnate Word of God (see Colossians
2:3). The same holds true for the Holy Scriptures, the written
Word of God. According to the Scriptures, there is a
physical/spiritual structure to the universe. The Apostle Paul
makes reference to the importance of this knowledge in the book
of Ephesians where he wrote:
"That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being
rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all
saints what [is] the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye
might be filled with all the fulness of God."
(Ephesians 3:17-19 KJV)
Pay close attention to the structure of the grammar. Paul is
speaking about two different things in this passage. The first
is the structure of things, "the breadth, and length, and depth,
and height;" and the second is, "to know the love of Christ,
which passeth knowledge." The important key word here is the
conjunction "And" which separates the two clauses. In other
words, Paul is saying there are two things the believer can and
should know. 1) The dimensions and structure of all things,
which can be defined. 2) The love of Christ, which is beyond
full comprehension by man. A corollary to the truth of this
passage is found in this Old Testament proverb:
"The heaven for height, and the earth for depth, and the heart
of kings [is] unsearchable."
(Proverbs 25:3 KJV)
The firmament deals with the structure of the present heavens
and Earth (Genesis 2:1), as opposed to the structure of the
original heaven and Earth (Genesis 1:1). There is presently a
three (3) heavens structure. In the old world of the original
creation, there was a different configuration. Let's look back
to Genesis 1:6 again and more closely examine that verse to
determine that present structure and review something that we
previously just touched on:
"And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the
waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God
made the firmament, and divided the waters which [were] under
the firmament from the waters which [were] above the firmament:
and it was so."

On the second day of the creation, the Lord God "divided" the
waters (plural) of the great "deep" into two parts with a
"firmament" in the midst. According to Genesis 1:10, both the
waters that were upon the face of the Earth and the waters which
He placed ABOVE the firmament He called "Seas":
"And God called the dry [land] Earth; and the gathering together
of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that [it was] good."
(Gen 1:10 KJV)
This is important to understand. We know that the waters on the
Earth are called "Seas" in the Bible, but there is also another
"Sea" that is spoken of in the Scriptures, and that one is above
the firmament. (Special note: Notice that the word "Sea" is
capitalized at Genesis 1:10 in the KJV Bible). But, exactly
where is "ABOVE" the firmament? During the seven days of the
Genesis regeneration the Lord God defined Three Heavens. The
first heaven is the Earth's atmosphere:
"And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving
creature that hath life, and fowl [that] may fly above the earth
in the open firmament of heaven."
(Gen 1:20 KJV)
The second heaven is the vast expanse of the physical universe -
outer space as we call it:
"And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the
heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for
signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:"
(Gen 1:14 KJV)
These two heavens constitute a continuum called the "firmament,"
and this firmament is collectively called "Heaven":
"And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the
morning were the second day."
(Gen 1:8 KJV)
The Third Heaven is above this upper "Sea," and this higher sea
is below the Throne of God:
"And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto
crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the
throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind."
(Revelation 4:6 KJV)
Therefore, this particular "Sea" above the firmament is above
the known physical universe. Since the sun, moon and stars are
"in" the firmament this Sea MUST be above them. This is
difficult for the science of man to fathom, but it is a
Scriptural fact on cosmology. It represents a firm and
impassable barrier between the world of man (below) and the
abode of God (above). Here are some additional verses in the
Bible which refer to this particular Sea:
"Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that [be]
above the heavens."
(Psalms 148:4 KJV)
This is the "sea" that John saw in his visions:
"And before the throne [there was] a sea of glass like unto
crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the
throne, [were] four beasts full of eyes before and behind."
(Rev 4:6 KJV)
This is a present "sea" of separation that will no longer exist
when God destroys the old world and makes all things new after
the 1,000-year Kingdom of Heaven and the final judgment that
follows:
"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven
and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more
sea."
(Revelation 21:1 KJV)
This "sea" is also spoken of in Exodus 20:11, the verse
frequently quoted by Young Earth Creationists as a proof text to
support their doctrine:
"For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and
all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the
LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it."
(Exodus 20:11 KJV)
The reference to "the sea" in the above verse is a reference to
the sea established above the firmament, NOT to any sea on the
Earth's surface. Look at the English grammar of the verse. The
heaven and Earth are set apart as separate and distinct entities
and so is "the sea." That sea above the firmament was not made
until the second day of Genesis. There is something even more
important to notice about these waters above the firmament. Look
again at the passage concerning the second day:
"And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the
waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God
made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the
firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it
was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and
the morning were the second day."
(Genesis 1:6-8 KJV)
Something is missing there. Do you remember what was said
previously? This work on the second day is the ONLY day in the
Genesis narrative where the Lord does NOT say it "was good."
Therefore, when you consider the statement the Lord makes in
Genesis 1:31where He says that all that was made was "very
good"...
"And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was
very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day."
(Genesis 1:31 KJV)
...it must be considered so in the context of circumstances. The
context is the overall work of Reconstruction from Ruin and the
preparation of the Earth and a new world for Man. The term "very
good" does not mean "perfect," and the sea of separation placed
between the world above and the world below was not good, but
necessary. It would not be until the work of the Lord Jesus
Christ on the cross that a way would be made for crossing that
barrier (the sea, or waters, above the firmament).
The diagram below shows a comparison of these things to the
structure and layout of Moses' Tabernacle, which is the same
basic arrangement used in the layouts of the First and Second
Jewish Temples in Jerusalem.

The "Sea" under discussion is a barrier between the second and
third heavens, represented by the veil between the 'Holy Place'
and 'Holiest of All.' The 'Brazen Alter' represents the Earth
where the sacrifice was to be made. The 'Laver' in Moses'
Tabernacle, and the 'Molten Sea' (see below) in Solomon's
Temple, were places for the priests to wash themselves before
entering the 'Holy Place'.

The Third Heaven
This now gives us a better understanding of what the Apostle
Paul was talking about in the book of 2 Corinthians 12:2, where
he speaks of a place called the "third heaven":
"I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in
the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot
tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven."
(2 Cor. 12:2 KJV)
Although the "third heaven" is not directly mentioned in the
Genesis narrative, the established structure of all things is
defined in Ezekiel 1:22 KJV)
The reason it appears like a smooth, crystal surface is because
it is frozen:
"The waters are hid as [with] a stone, and the face of the deep
is frozen."
(Job 38:30 KJV)
"And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as
it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the
body of heaven in his clearness."
(Exodus 24:10 KJV)
It is also likened to glass:
"And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them
that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image,
and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the
sea of glass, having the harps of God."
(Revelation 15:2 KJV)
With this understanding of what exactly the Firmament is and the
structure of all things that God made during the seven days,
many things that were previously obscure suddenly take on real
meaning and enrich the reader's understanding.
In summary, here is the structure of the physical world as it
now exists from the face of the Earth upwards:
The lower sea of physical waters (our seas and oceans)
The first heaven (the atmosphere)
The second heaven (outer space)
The sea above outer space and below the third heaven (a sea of
separation)
And above it all, there is the Third Heaven.
"That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being
rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all
saints what [is] the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye
might be filled with all the fulness of God."
(Ephesians 3:17-19 KJV)
The structure of the heavens is a recurring theme throughout the
Bible. It is reinforced (in typology) throughout the Bible. For
example, it is likened to the floors of a building, which we
call "stories" and, sure enough, the same word is even used in
the KJV Bible. It is used to describe the design of the heavens:
"[It is] he that buildeth his stories in the heaven, and hath
founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the waters
of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The
LORD [is] his name."
(Amos 9:6 KJV)
