       WHY THE DISCIPLES COULDN'T UNDERSTAND THE DEATH AND RESURRECTION
       OF CHRIST

       [Luke 24:44 KJV] "And he said unto them, These [are] the words
       which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all
       things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of
       Moses, and [in] the prophets, and [in] the psalms, concerning
       me."
       [Luke 24:45 KJV] "Then opened he their understanding, that they
       might understand the scriptures,"
       [Luke 24:46 KJV] "And said unto them, Thus it is written, and
       thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the
       third day:"
       Jesus opened the understanding of the scriptures to the
       disciples, but would not have told the disciples of the
       salvation his death and resurrection accomplished because it was
       a hidden mystery. It was hid from the disciples and they didn't
       understand his death and resurrection...........[Luke 9:44 KJV]
       "Let these sayings sink down into your ears: for the Son of man
       shall be delivered into the hands of men."
       [Luke 9:45 KJV] "But they understood not this saying, and it was
       hid from them, that they perceived it not: and they feared to
       ask him of that saying."..........Paul received the mystery
       gospel that Christ died for our sins and rose for our
       justification..........[Ephesians 6:19 KJV] "And for me, that
       utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly,
       to make known the mystery of the gospel,".........this was not
       revealed to the twelve disciples.
