JESUS WAS HUNG ON A TREE
By: doug Date: January 26, 2026, 10:39 am
---------------------------------------------------------
[Deuteronomy 21:22 KJV] "And if a man have committed a sin
worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him
on a tree:"
[Deuteronomy 21:23 KJV] "His body shall not remain all night
upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day;
(for he that is hanged [is] accursed of God;) that thy land be
not defiled, which the LORD thy God giveth thee [for] an
inheritance."
"And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to
be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree:..........This
applies to Christ Jesus who was hung on a tree, which is the
cross. Of course he didn't commit sin, but he was made sin for
us..........[2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV] "For he hath made him [to
be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the
righteousness of God in him."
(for he that is hanged [is] accursed of God;)........Jesus was
made a curse for us..........[Galatians 3:13 KJV] "Christ hath
redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for
us: for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that hangeth on a
tree:"
"His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou
shalt in any wise bury him that day;........Jesus was buried the
same day he was crucified, his body was not left overnight on
the cross.........[John 19:31 KJV] "The Jews therefore, because
it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon
the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high
day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and
[that] they might be taken away."
[John 19:32 KJV] "Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of
the first, and of the other which was crucified with him."
[John 19:33 KJV] "But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he
was dead already, they brake not his legs:".........Jesus's legs
weren't broken in fulfillment of prophecy...........[Psalm 34:20
KJV] "He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken."
