God (the father) called his Son a 'Servant'. Jesus call himself
a servant in Mat. then in:
Mark 10:43-45.."But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever
will be great among you, shall be your minister: v.44 And
whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all.
v. 45...For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto,
but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. "
**Minister= Servant-(Slave)
to be a servant (slave) is to be closer to Jesus as He still
serves us all today.
Why should we want to remove ourselves from a way of life that
Jesus recommends/commands.

servant...we are taught that being a slave or servant is a bad
thing when in reality it lifts us up and gives us a much better
life: that is if our slavery or servanthood is to the right

Slavery in the Bible was self-imposed for debts, etc. (i.e. the
7 years Jacob worked for Rachel, got Leah and then worked
another 7 years for
for Rachel).
Indentured Servitude (servants) was used widely in the OT. It
was the honorable way of acquiring land, a wife, animals, etc.

sinfulnature we were born with. However, finding the Jesus
Christ and believing in His Gospel (1 cor 15:1-4) will remove
these feelings and clear the mind.

If the Son has set us free why do we still live as if we are
slaves?
Because we ARE slaves to sin while living on earth. Accepting
this as fact is the first step in recovery.

Where then is God's power to set us free not to mention His
promise to set us free?
