THE FAITH OF CHRIST TEACHING

[Philippians 3:9 KJV] 9 And be found in him, not having mine own
righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through
the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
The faith of Christ consists of the teaching that we are saved
by Christ's faith. This may not mean much to you if you haven't
been exposed to it, but I think it needs to be disputed.
Our faith doesn't save us, the object of our faith does. Jesus
saves us. Our faith in Christ believes that Jesus is the sinless
Son of God who could take our place in payment for our sins, and
by his shed blood and death we have forgiveness of all our sin;
that belief is accounted for our
righteousness..........[Galatians 3:6 KJV] 6 Even as Abraham
believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
I find no scripture that says Christ had faith.
They equate the faithfulness of God with the faith of Christ,
which is unfounded. It is one thing to be faithful and another
to have faith. You can't change the word of God to substantiate
your view.
[Philippians 1:27 KJV] 27 Only let your conversation be as it
becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you,
or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand
fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the
faith of the gospel;.........finally let's examine this verse.
If you can say the faith of Christ means that Christ exhibited
faith, then why does saying the faith of the gospel means
something different? According to their interpretation "the
faith of the gospel" means the gospel has faith, does it not?
No, this verse is describing that faith is to be placed in the
gospel, just as faith is to be placed in Christ; it identifies
the object of our faith not that the object of our faith has
faith of itself.
