suffering and God Love...
By: guest24 Date: August 10, 2021, 10:33 am
---------------------------------------------------------
I'm not sure where to post this...
I'm not 100% yet, well never 100% anymore but back to where I
was...so any response I give with be gingerly given but here is
the question I pose today.
How is suffering a picture for us of God Love.
Before you answer, we know some obvious about God's Love to us,
but what about those things that are not as obvious like His
ability to relate to us.
As to the rest of the question, how is our suffering a picture
of God Love?
How is our suffering helping others understand God Love?
How is others suffering helping us understand God Love?
How does persecution (to add a more specific suffering to our
list) showing God Love?
How can we allow our suffering to demonstrate God Love to the
world?
(NO JUDGEMENT STATEMENTS WILL BE TOLERATED BY ME)

GOD judges evil is a great comfort to me and knowing that HE
will swat our butts for our foolishness also comforts
me...
that is God's judgment, not ours...there is a
difference, but I do appreciate the comment, amen, suffering is
to be viewed according to scripture as God's correction.
In fact, maybe we can expand on this some...it is both
correction and comfort but it also shows whose we are. But not
only whose we are but who He is.

I think some people can mistake "suffering" and "persecution"
for reality, meaning some things are part of life. For instance,
I never feel "picked on" or persecuted, I never feel like the
underdog and I never claim to be a victim.
I have pain, depression, other health issues and they affect
every part of my life. I don't sit and dwell on my sufferings
and pain, my afflictions and how they might be "helping" God or
that they are His will for my life.
When it became obvious that I was going to be in long
term non stop pain, maybe even for the rest of my life, I
(should be obvious) obviously prayed for God to heal me. Soon
it also became obvious that God had another plan. At that
point, I told God that I would endure as long as I could see He
was using it. Some days it's hard to see how or where He is
using it, but most days I see His glory shining through it and
that encourages me.
That small bit of testimony reveals two ways that suffering can
glorify God or show God's Love...endurance and encouragement as
we allow Him to have it and work through it what He desires for
it to accomplish Romans 8:28
I forgot to say this when responding...I agree and think
it is insightful what you said about people not being able to
distinguish between suffering and persecution sometimes...here,
we have experience not only with persecution but people and
people groups close to our hearts that are truly persecuted and
so I wouldn't have thought about people seeing them as the same
thing...thanks for the insight.

I would offer I think both kinds working as one. Literal fleshly
and our minds .The idea as a gift of never being picked on or
persecuted seems to be one working according to your seeking, a
blessing of God .The physical sufferings can sometimes and does
require more aid ..we can pray in a hope of less sufferings
encouraging each other but in the end it is between the work of
the Father and Son that the will of God is revealed.
Its the kind of religion God sets his approval on the elders as
widows and the orphans as fatherless. In that way we were all
widows and not members as the bride of Christ and were all
orphans without a heavenly father. I would offer prayer in
regard to your burden in a hope our Father would give strength .
James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father
is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction,
and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
