For me, it is confusing Blade. I can understand acquaintances
and work friends being that way. But direct family just caught
me off guard about their reaction. My youngest is trying. He
has spent time chatting and asking questions and being the
intellect and stoic questioner of everything, he asks and tests
his old man's knowledge and resolve. But he is at least make
some effort to find out more.

Interesting...I expect it more from family than the world....I
guess experience has a lot to do with our perspectives and
expectations.

Very true on experiences of life, it is related to life
experiences and who we have had those with. I guess I am just
around a lot that just can not image I can change to the person
I am become and embracing God.

Most of my family treats me as if I don't exist. I'm referring
to brothers, sisters, cousins, aunts and uncles etc.

When my father was dying, we were called to the house. I had to
walk between all my siblings (3) plus their spouses to get to
the only remaining chair. It was still 30 to 45 minutes before
anyone even acknowledged that I existed and that came from my
mother. The sad part is that I felt blessed on that day that no
one even bothered.

I never see or hear from most of my family. But maybe it's best
that way. They abandoned me when I needed them the most. I don't
need them now.
