       Why did Jesus come?

I was thinking this AM about all the wonderful things we have
because of Christ and His Love. So my question is, why did
Christ come, was it only about salvation, whatever view you have
of atonement/salvation or did He come for more? If your answer
is more, please explain what the more is...

All the wonderful things? ;D Indeed. You'd have to go back
closer to the beginning. Not the beginning as in Genesis 1:1 but
before creation, when the Son proceeded forth from the Father
and His Spirit. The fact is, it's unknown and can't be known. We
can only propose educated guesses; theories.
After a considerable amount of thought about this throughout my
life, I think God always was, is and will be, and I think God
desired to share Himself, His love, His spirit, His wisdom,
peace, joy, completeness and Oneness with Him. How can we
possibly describe these things? The Glory? Can we comprehend? No
we can't. Can we apprehend? Slightly, I believe.
After all, we see though a glass darkly . . .
       The Way of Love
13 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not
love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have
prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all
knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains,
but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give away all I have,
and if I deliver up my body to be burned,[a] but have not love,
       I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is
not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is
not irritable or resentful;[b] 6 it does not rejoice at
wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all
things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all
       things.
8 Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as
for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass
away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when
the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. 11 When I was a
child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned
like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. 12
For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I
know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully
       known.
13 So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the
       greatest of these is love.

So then, God foresaw that His creations would experience evil
and He has a plan in action. Sending His only begotten Son to
save us if we choose to believe His words and do them. As
scripture says, Jesus came to save Israel originally.

all but the last I agree....for it was foretold that Jesus would
come to save the world long before Abraham. Look to GEN 3:
15.."And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and
between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and
       thou shalt bruise his heel."
The woman's seed is the Key.
then in Gen 5 and the Generations of Adam. The meanings of the
names of these men from Adam to Noah, produce a prophecy that
was fulfilled 2000 years ago. It would read as follows:
"'Man (is) Appointed Mortal Sorrow (but) The Blessed God Shall
Come Down Teaching His Death Shall Bring (the) Despairing
       Comfort, Rest!'"
Again a long time before Abraham.
There are also many prophecies even after God (the father) had
chosen Israel as His people. Isa 53 is one of the most beautiful
renditions of the Gospel of Jesus Christ 750 years before His
appearance and just prior to the capture of the Northern by the
Assyrian Empire and the Southern Kingdom by Babylonian Empire.
Jesus saving the World through His death was an achievement that
was planned out eons prior to the creation of the earth and
       mankind.

The Son came to die as a human to fulfill His promise of
election to heaven as His Bride made to those few elect who
later chose to rebel and go astray into sin, probably in
rebellion to the command to come out for among the reprobate who
followed Satan's rejection of YHWH and touch not their
       uncleanness.
Though believing in YHWH's claims to Deity and accepting our
only salvation from sin was to be found in the Son, we could not
accept the judgement and destruction of our friends who chose to
reject HIM as a liar and false god and so we became the sinful
good seed, the sheep gone astray, needing to be redeemed.
His love is who HE is, not necessarily something He came to do
       or to demonstrate...
