Remember when Venezuela was held up as the great example of
socialism done well? As Americans, we heard about Hugo Chavez
calling our president (G. Bush) the devil. The people of
Venezuela had it great and we had it bad. So how did they do it?
Well, they did it just exactly like every other communist
government does it; they nationalize industry. So they had oil
and nationalized it. They then distributed the wealth to "the
people". The people liked this. They got free and subsidized
stuff. Woo Hoo.
Guess what? The party is now over. The government ruined the
country. Nobody is holding up Venezuela today. But, they did
raise the minimum wage this week. That ought to fix everything.
I am not happy about all the misery that the Venezuelan people
are suffering, but this is another in a long, long, long, line
of examples of the failure of communism.

vice versa, they go hand in hand. Socialism and communism have
killed hundreds of millions of people maybe billions.
I will have some material to post in this thread for sure. The
demonrats are so far left that they will use socialism as a
carrot to dangle in front of uneducated young people who think
they will get free healthcare and free college and then a great
job. It's insanity.

I’m a firm believer of adverse publicity...
All of the adverse publicity from Western Europe and the US
never hurt the Ayatollahs of Iran. Likewise Maduro, who is such
a wonderful president for big oil, is effectively supported by
all of the fake stories that the US and EU want to get rid of
him!

Who profits?
Longtime Rothschild banker and Trump’s Commerce Secretary Wilbur
Ross first invested in Navigator Holdings in 2011. In the summer
of 2012, WL Ross took control of Navigator by buying a further
$110 million stake from the collapsed Lehman Brothers bank.
Navigator Holdings earns millions a year transporting oil and
gas for the Russian Sibur.
Putin’s son-in-law Shamalov holds a large stake in Sibur and is
its deputy chairman.
In 2016, 31.5% was still held by entities in which Ross has a
stake (WLR). In 2017, the WLR stake in Navigator was worth about
$179 million, but it is not clear how much is (still) held by
Ross personally.
Navigator vessels also carried out extensive business with the
Venezuelan state oil company PDVSA, records show, at a time when
Venezuela’s government was cracking down on opposition. Trump
imposed sanctions on PDVSA in August:

All of the adverse publicity that Maduro gets from the US and EU
will boost his popularity (like the Ayatollahs of Iran).
There are actually people that only defend Maduro because he´s
supposedly targetted by the US.
I once or twice read claims that all installed puppet leaders
are really freemasons. The following video shows that both
Maduro and Juan Guaido are freemasons (or at the very least
affiliated with freemasonry).
This makes Guaido nothing but “controlled opposition”.

accused of anti-Semitism.
Nicolas Maduro defended himself against these accusations by
