Well, it is for sure a non-canonical book. The King Astyages
reigned during 585-550BC. He was the brother-in-law to
"Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon", who have married Astyages' sister
(Amytis). Astyages was removed from power by Cyrus the Great
(Persian)
This King was of the Median Empire that run side by side with
the Babylonian empire
605 – 562 BC. While Daniel was an important player in the
Babylonian empire, He had nothing to do with the Median Empire
until Cyrus the Great conquered both the Median and Babylonian
Empires. Stories of Daniel had been around since before
Antiochus.
None of this fairy tale, (in my opinion) is consistent with
Daniel's writings.

I agreed with Him even up to the time Jesus Road into Jerusalem
on the Donkey. Yet, the splitting of Daniel's 70th week to
correspond with the Mid Acts Church is not biblical.
The first part of Daniel's week (3 1/2 years) was not split
between then (right after Jesus road into the city) and the
future.
All of Daniel's week is in the future and cannot begin until the
Pre-Tib Rapture event has taken place.
