What are you seeking?
By: guest24 Date: December 30, 2020, 11:55 am
---------------------------------------------------------
Long story why this question is coming up so I won't go into it
especially since some don't get the importance of open
communication and confessions not to mention testimony...but,
the question I keep getting asked by God this week is what are
you seeking...both big picture as in God and smaller picture as
in this day or this situation..
Not that anyone will care but my answer is currently,
Big picture...God
Smaller picture...to be told I have value (not necessarily in
words) To know in both heart and mind that there is someone
fighting for me because I have something to offer. IOW's to
"feel" it
I'm looking forward to your response.
Some time ago we were talking about whether or not to leave the
church we were attending. We prayed and asked God to show us
what He would have for us. Brian had one thing in mind, I had
another. After the answer was given and our pastor asked us
about it, I told him that I wanted to FEEL loved by the body.
Feelings come and go, they ebb and flow but they are also how
God created us when He created us in His image. To that end, we
often feel one thing when the reality is something else. Right
now I am seeking a feeling that matches how God and others that
Love me feel about me, the hate of others clouds those feelings
more times than not.
Rest assured you are Loved and of great value and I pray that
God shows you that this week and this year so that your emotions
match His truth of who you are to the only one that matters.
Hey Lori. I am seeking assurance and I feel that and get
that assurance from the Bible; God's words. For me it is
fleeting and the assurance wanes and doubt creeps in. Insecurity
and fear of the unknown future here in the earth. I am seeking
God first for sure, and His love and approval. I also seek an
inner peace, a tranquility and confidence in Christ.
I have mixed feelings about being appreciated and seen as having
value necessarily. We all have value to God and Jesus Christ and
we all have value as human beings, whether it is shown or given
to us is beyond my control. My small actions have led to 3
marriages that I know of and I am blessed as a "facilitator" or
in influencer, getting people together to meet and fellowship,
make lasting friendships and love. My goal is to get people
thinking about God all the time, in all things.
I am at a point where I don't know if God wants ME to make a
move and start preaching or getting into a church or if God
Himself will present me with an opportunity or a mission. I want
to hear from God and I do, yet I want a defined purpose and goal
and I want to be able to envision myself in a role of teaching,
helping or volunteering. So, I keep waiting but I am gradually
preparing to travel for some reason, like I think something is
coming and I will have to be mobile.
Let's talk more about this it's very interesting.

Let's talk more about this it's very interesting.
When we traveled cross country with our then 3 young
boys to answer God's call, we thought it was to plant a church.
What we discovered was that God's plan was much less "practical"
from a human standpoint because what He wanted us to do was
minister to the homeless and others along the way as well as
back home about how to leave it all to follow Him...even to the
point of being homeless (one of many times we were) It taught
us to follow without presuming...still struggle with that
lesson...to allow God to direct us and us follow and then enjoy
the surprise at the end of the journey.
God is definitely taking us in new directions, we have thoughts
about where that is leading but like a Christmas present, we are
anxiously awaiting God's revelation of what He is doing and
where He is taking us and how it will all fit together in the
end of that chapter.
May you enjoy the adventure God is taking you on and you watch
Him unfold His plan for your life.
