       Dream telepathy is the purported ability to communicate
       telepathically with another person while one is dreaming. The
       first person in modern times to document telepathic dreaming was
       Sigmund Freud.
       An out-of-body experience is an experience in which a person
       seems to perceive the world from a location outside their
       physical body. Astral projection (or astral travel) is a term
       used to describe a willful out-of-body experience (OBE) that
       assumes the existence of a soul or consciousness called an
       "astral body" that is separate from the physical body and
       capable of travelling outside it throughout the universe.

       An out-of-body experience is a condition usually occurring
       spontaneously during meditation, deep sleep, hypnosis, shamanic
       trance, sensory-deprivation, anesthesia, extreme illness or
       trauma, in which one finds themselves outside their physical
       body, yet remaining fully conscious and perceiving everything
       normally. Robert Monroe describes it as �an altered state of
       consciousness in which the subject feels that his mind or
       self-awareness is separated from his physical body and this
       self-awareness has a vivid and real sense about it, quite
       different from a dream.�
       The experience typically begins by finding yourself floating
       over or standing next to your physical body, perceiving
       normally, but with a great feeling of lightness and power. You
       may see your physical body lying on the bed or you may just rise
       straight up through the ceiling. You may have a ghostly, astral
       body which can fly around or you may be a point of pure
       consciousness which can travel instantaneously to wherever you
       think about.

       There is a Netflix docuseries called 'Surviving Death.'  I just
       watched the first episode and it told the story of a spine doc
       by the name of Dr Mary Neal who had one of these out of body, or
       near death experiences.  I don't particularly like the term
       "near death" because in reality that is how all of us live every
       moment.  For me, my experience was so similar to the story of
       this doctor in many ways that I was taken aback when she started
       telling of it.  I too, drowned in a river on a kayak course,
       pinned beneath a waterfall for a prolonged period of time that
       may have been up to ten minutes, but no one recalls exactly.
       These stories, along with what I experienced myself, give a
       different perspective when reading Paul's account on the road,
       as well as when he recounts the story of a man who saw certain
       things 'whether in the body or not- I don't know' -- to me, it
       makes sense.  So too that story of Enoch- who was taken up.
       I can never fully tell the things I saw when I died in the river
       that day... which is another reason I don't really like the term
       'near death,'  No- I died.  And then I returned.
       Here is part of Dr Neal's story, but it is more fully told in
       the Netflix series I mentioned.

       kayaking accident and drowned and died? Thank you for sharing
       that, I might get Netflix again to see the whole series.
       Unfortunately, I think I may have died two different times but I
       was never greeted by anyone or anything and I have absolutely no
       memory of anything except waking up.

       was that in dream?
       Yes- I drowned while training for swift water rescue work when I
       became trapped under an underwater rocky ledge at the base of a
       waterfall.  It changed the course of my entire life and shocked
       my conscience.  When I awoke, I started awakening.  Everything
       changed for me.  My perception of the world around me, of life,
       and of myself.  It was transformational.  I was dead, and then I
       became alive.

       [/quote]Yes, a couple serious crashes but never unconscious but
       I collapsed and stop breathing and I was recued by paramedics on
       the side of a fairly busy road near my house after a very long
       walk of about 10 miles.
       I will tell you more in a PM about the reasons I walked that far
       but they revived me and I didn't see or hear anything. No dreams
       or visions or beings or voices etc. Just nothing. Another time I
       had a seizure and was blacked out and maybe came close to death.
       How long ago was your accident?
