You can't just lump people together like that. Derek Prince is
not John Hagee or Joel Osteen or anybody else.
There are excellent Charismatic churches and bad charismatic
churches just like there are excellent Calvinist churches and
piss poor ones. And there have been crooks in all denominations.
I disagree with some of what Derek Prince preached and agree
with an awful lot.
I prefer [love above all] his namesake Joseph Prince.
Sheesh, there has never been a PERFECT preacher since Paul ...

Anyone who strays away from the word of GOD, Deletes, adds to
it, changes, etc. are damned. This includes all the charismatic
churches...In fact, Billy after the Harpozo happens, these
churches will most likely not need to replace their missing
pastors. They will not be missing.
Not everybody will be in heaven....Most will be in the LAKE of
FIRE! FOREVER

Well you won't mind if I take an equally hard line and tell you
you are talking rubbish.
The Calvinists add an awful lot to scripture and subtract an
awful lot. They will not on account of poor bible knowledge and
bad teaching be thrown into hell ... not if they are saved.
What you say actually goes against your own Calvinist teaching.
Salvation depends upon faith ... not knowledge.

Most Calvinist I know do not change, delete, add , etc the word
of GOD...The Prosperity/charismatic preachers doe not do that.
Yes Salvation is by Faith and Faith alone but ones works shows
me their faith including yours Billy.

You know nothing about me Blade.
I was very sorry to learn the demise of Ask Mr Religion last
year. Over the years I had become good online friends with
Patrick and knew quite a bit about his sorrows. Indeed I have
become friends with many Calvinist posters and have shared a
great deal of fellowship in Calvinist or reformed assemblies.
I consider C.H.Spurgeon to be my life mentor, his writings and
sermons of which I have consumed many volumes.
But I have a quarrel with them, and I have a quarrel with YOU
when make blanket charges against Pentecostalism.
One grievance I have and I have Patrick in mind here, is that
Calvinists KNOW that God is at work among the Pentecostalist
churches [I include Charismatic] just as they acknowledge that
God has mightily used men like Billy Graham.
But rather than rolling their sleeves up and getting involved
they fold their arms and stand on the sidelines and carp and
criticise and throw mud.
If they approached the matter spiritually they would realise
that they have the ANSWER to many of the ills and extravagances
that occur in the Charismatic movement.
They have the answer in their theology.
Because the ills and extravagances come from Arminian freewill
doctrine. And this includes the prosperity doctrines.
God wants YOU to prosper, there's nothing wrong with that
"Beloved I willest ABOVE ALL THINGS that thou mayest PROSPER and
be in health even as thy soul prospereth"
There is nothing wrong with the doctrine, the problem arises in
the MANNER in which they preach this prosperity is to be brought
about. They say you must first give.
That is the typical Arminian response, the freewill response.
The works based salvation. If they would understand the Grace
doctrines the whole matter could be cleaned up.
But the Calvinists have fled the field they have deserted the
cause and allowed the crooks to move in.
Well God will sort the crooks out in His own good time and He
will clean up the Charismatics but the Calvinists because they
fled the field in the day of battle and stood aside and threw
mud will continue to decline and wither on the vine as they are
doing.
The Calvinists add the doctrine of double predestination to the
bible, and they subtract [or limited as they politely say] the
atonement. That's why they are stymied.
And if they don't like the way Pentecostals worship I must tell
you I don't like the way most Calvinist churches worship.
