ATTS FAQ

Hello, I'm Getty51, Commanding Officer of the 22nd Airborne
Division. I'm going to explain how our recruiting process here
at 22nd works. I'll tell you what you need to know anyway.
First, let's learn some of the verbiage we'll be using:
What is "ATTS"? ATTS stands for Airborne Tactics and Training
School. It's how we determine if you have what it takes to
display the "22d Tag" beside your name and the 22nd shield on
your left arm. It's the best way we know to find out if you're
one of us or just one of them.
What is a "Roll"? It is what we call it when you have to restart
ATTS from Day One.
What is a "Drop"? A drop is when some one leaves ATTS before
they are done. There 2 kinds of Drops. There is a "Drop on
Request" or "DOR". As the name suggests, a DOR is when the
recruit removes himself or herself from ATTS (or as we say
"Rings the Bell"). You can also "Be Dropped" where a member of
the ORB asks you to leave ATTS.
1. Once you enter training, you lose all privileges to your
entire profile on the 22nd Message Board and member name on
these forums. Any attempt to change it will result in your
immediate roll to the beginning of ATTS Training. While you're
in ATTS, your profile belongs to me!
2. You will take everything we dish out. You will not talk back
to any member of the 22nd Forums. Any attempt to do anything but
take it will result in an immediate roll and possible
photographic penalties. (These penalties normally entail you
taking a picture of yourself doing something embarrassing at
very least.)
3. Posting RestrictionsYou get 3 Free posts per day, but if you
would like to post more than that You MUST ask permission to
speak before posting on the 22nd forums from the time your name
"goes pink", until you complete ATTS training. Note: This does
not include the Recruits private area. There you can post as
often as you like to talk to other recruits, as no other members
can see that section.
Only a Private First Class or higher rank can grant it to you.
Posts made without prior permission will be deleted. The
Secretary of Hazing will be immediately notified, and a
punishment will be given. (This does not mean you should just
decide to not participate in our forums. Part of the process is
posting on these boards. You take a much greater risk in not
making it into 22nd by failing to participate.)
This is how it works:
ATTS Recruit: "Permission to reply in this thread?"
22nd Member: "Granted" or "Denied" (denied requests to speak can
and will happen)
ATTS Recruit: "Thank you **Insert Rank & Name**". Then you may
post your reply.
If an 22nd Member asks you a direct question you have implied
permission to speak and therefor is no reason to ask if you have
permission to reply.
4. You MUST log onto the 22nd Airborne message board every day
during ATTS. Failure to log on within any 24 hour period (based
on the "Active Users in the Past 24 Hours" log) will result in a
roll back to day one of ATTS, and of course a punishment handed
down by Secretary of Hazing.
5. Within 2 weeks of starting ATTS, you will be given a
10-question assignment to be completed within 48 hours of its
issue. This assignment must be turned in all at once (no
piecemeal here). Once it's turned in, it will be graded within
24 hours. If you do not get 70% or better you will be rolled
back to day one week one of ATTS. Finishing the assignment to
the best of your ability is key.
Assignments
6. Our members will need to get to know you better so they can
feel more comfortable in voting you into 22nd Airborne. I
suggest you go more in depth with your "about me" thread (after
asking permission if you're already in ATTS). Tell us about
yourself (the person, not the gamer). We here are a close knit
group and do not suffer fools or halfass clan members. We want
to know who you are, and what you're all about.
If you are rolled 3 times in a one-week period, your application
goes back to the Officer Review Board. Le_Fantom9, Warhound40,
Golem1234, Kirse, and I will take another look at your
application, review your posting history, consider why you were
rolled and if you had/have a legitimate excuse. We'll look at
whether or not you're really putting in the effort or not. After
careful review and consideration, we will take a vote as to
whether to keep you in ATTS or Drop you (be asked to Leave).
Most are asked to leave.
There are 3 possible outcomes in ATTS Training:
-Complete ATTS
-Drop from ATTS on Request
-Be Dropped via ORB from ATTS
Completing ATTS does not guarantee you a place in 22nd. After
ATTS is over, we take a vote on bringing you into one of the
teams that make up the clan of 22nd. If you do not get a
majority vote, you will be Rolled to Day One.
Okay, now that we're through the formalities... Here's the
thing; I do not care who you are were or who your sponsor is.
You are no longer anyone's pal, you are just a ATTS Recruit... a
bottom feeder. You will be treated as such.
Good luck... you are the latest ATTS class in a clan with a long
history of excellence. Do not embarrass yourself Recruits!
