       The Regular Draft is complete. Below is the remainder of the
       schedule for our league:
       August 27 by the end of the day, post contracts on your team war
       room in the forum and I will update the google sheets.
       August 29 by end of the day, check teams on Yahoo! and Google
       and make sure they are correct. If I don't hear anything from
       you by the end of the day, I will assume they are correct. If at
       any time during the season, you see an issue I need to fix, let
       me know.
       August 30 and 31 teams will be locked on Yahoo to fix things
       that need fixed.
       September 1 First day to put in waivers for the year and will be
       daily waivers until September 4. Teams will be unlocked and
       waivers can be placed on September 1 and will be processed
       September 2. Waivers can be placed on September 2 and will be
       process on September 3, etc etc. September 5, waivers will be
       set back to Sunday game time to Tuesday.

       It looks like Springfields vote would be for 3, but I am waiting
       for him to post it here.  We still need a few to vote and
       majority is 7 to change anything.
       I’ve gone back on forth with no change and option 3.  My vote
       would be 3 mainly because I like having two drafts and this
       change is not a drastic one and would be easy to implement and
       explain to new managers for future years.
       That being said, even if option 1 passes with a majority vote,
       one thing we should vote on for the 2025 season only is for
       option 3 or option 4.  Option 3 is a small change that shouldn’t
       affect rookie trades for 2025.  If option 3 passes for 2025, we
       could implement it and see how it works out for a year.  I dont
       think it is a big change and it would eliminate one team getting
       the best rookie and getting the best vet.
       So can you guys vote for option 3 or 4 for season 2025?
       If option 1 passes for 2026 we can change it, but we would need
       to take ANOTHER vote on how many rounds we should have for the
       combined draft.  And we may as well vote for that now.
       Options to vote for the amount of rounds is:
       11
       12 I vote for 12
       13
       My vote for 12 is because teams rosters fill up quickly and we
       dont need 13 rounds to fill everyones roster.

       I’ll go choice 3 for the first change and choice 3 for next year
       and 12 for the rounds.
       I feel like changing to option 1 or 2 would have a huge effect
       on trading future picks, almost to the point where we couldn’t
       allow them any more because your first round rookie could turn
       into a 4th round pick if choice 1 is selected.

       I vote option #1 and agree with waiting to implement the change
       until 2026.

       This is an email I sent to the auction league, but want you all
       to read it as well so we are all on the same page.
       All,
       We all make mistakes, I get it, but we can double check things
       too and fix things. Just so you are all aware, there was another
       typo mistake made in the league when placing a WW claim. This
       time it involved a manager claiming a player on the WW for $10.
       He meant to bid $1 for the WW claim, typed 1 and failed to
       delete the 0 in the amount box. This made the claim $10 instead
       of $1. The WW was processed and he got the player for $10 when
       he meant to bid $1. He immediately emailed me about the mistake
       and explained it to me. The Co-Commissioners and I consulted
       about this and decided it was a mistake and the player will be
       added for $1 and everything will be updated to reflect that. It
       was a simple mistake, but could have been easily avoided.
       Also, there was an issue during the Auction draft when a manager
       bid on Dowdle. That mistake could have been fixed before Dowdle
       was sold if the manager refreshed the page and made his bid and
       then double checked that the bid went through.
       Now, when placing bids, please enter the number you wish to bid
       in the "Your Bid" box correctly to begin with. After this is
       done, take another few seconds to double check your bid by going
       to your team page. Your player and amount you bid on will be
       toward the top of the page. If you see a mistake, you can simply
       correct it. If you want to make changes later, you can go back
       and make the changes, just double check it after you post the
       bid amount in the "Your Bid" box.
       It's your responsibility to make the bid and part of that
       process it to make sure the correct bid was made. From this
       point forward, there will be no mistaken bids, your bid is your
       bid, so double check it.

       Hi everyone,
       We are considering changing how the draft works for the 2025
       season and we want everyone's opinion on their preference.  The
       reason behind considering the change is as follows:  Based on
       how our contracts work, there is often a very large drop in
       value between the first few picks and the rest of the draft.
       Giving the same team the 1.1 in both drafts leads to a major
       advantage.  For example, in 2022 1.1 was able to draft CMC and
       Breece Hall.  Contrast that with the 1.6 were the value dropped
       to Sutton and Jameson Williams.
       We came up with a few options to mitigate this and wanted to lay
       them out here and get everyone's thoughts.  There are three
       proposals to vote for.
       Proposal 1
       1.  Combine the rookie and regular draft into 1 draft.  if you
       take a rookie in the draft, they get a rookie contract.  If you
       draft a returning player then you can decide how to contract
       them as we do now.  With this model you could take as many or as
       few rookies as you would like.  We could cap the rookies that
       are picked in this option to three using 4 year contracts on
       them and then still allow managers to draft rookies, but would
       have to assign one of their 2 or 3 year contracts on them
       instead of a 4 year.
       2.  This one takes a bit more explanation, but is relatively
       simple once explained.  With this option we would have a
       pre-draft sometime in the offseason to select the order of the
       two drafts.  The person who picks first could decide whether
       they wanted 1.1 in the rookie draft or the regular draft.  So
       for the 2024 draft, VA league winners would have the first
       choice and could either select the 1.1/2.1/3.1 rookie or the
       first spot in the regular draft.  If VA took the 1.1 rookie
       spot, then the next person (in this case NY Vod Kanonkers) would
       go next and could select either 1.2/2.2/3.2 rookie picks or
       first slot in the regular draft.  If they took 1.1 regular,
       then, as the 3rd pick in the pre-draft, BCB would have the
       choice of either 1.2/2.2/3.2 rookie or 1.2 regular and so on.
       The only caveat would be that you had to end the 2 round
       pre-draft with one pick from each draft, so if you took a rookie
       pick in the first round of the pre-draft, you would have to take
       a regular pick in the 2nd round.
       3. Another solution could be to have the draft order , like we
       use now, for the rookie draft, then reverse the 1 to 6 picks for
       the main draft.  This will allow the bottom 6 teams to still
       have the first 6 picks in each draft.
       Rookie 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11,12
       Main 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12
       4.  Keep things as is.
       Proposal 2
       If option 1 passes for 2026 we can change it, but we would need
       to take ANOTHER vote on how many rounds we should have for the
       combined draft.
       Options to vote for the amount of rounds is:
       11
       12
       13
       Proposal 3
       If option 1 passes in Proposal 1, then we can change 2025 to
       option 3 or not.  So Proposal 3 is to vote for option 3 below
       only for the 2025 season.  Option 3 is explained below.
       3. For the 2025 season only, is to have the draft order , like
       we use now, for the rookie draft, then reverse the 1 to 6 picks
       for the main draft.  This will allow the bottom 6 teams to still
       have the first 6 picks.
       Rookie 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11,12
       Main 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12
       Please vote for all three Proposals so I can tally them.  Vote
       by emailing me at schmitmatt@hotmail.com  I know some of you
       already voted for Proposal 1, but we are not to a majority for
       Proposal 1 yet and not everyone has voted for all Proposals.
