Let the League Begin!!!

We have a full League with 12 managers. Welcome all to the 2023
FSCEN NFL Contract League!!!
We have one brand new manager and one returning to the league
from long ago. Welcome Mark Groteluschen!!! Mark is taking over
Campbell Coolers team and his team name is Shueyville
All-Americans. Welcome Eddie Salem!!! Eddie is taking over
Seattle Stingrays team and his team name will be NY Vod
Kanonkers.
One thing new this year is Yahoo removed the message boards,
which is where we do all of our league business. I have a new
place to post messages and we all must got to the following
website, log on as your team name (be sure to add your team name
to the automatic signature line). It is the same forum we use
for the Auction league and is easy to use. If you are in the
Auction league this is familiar with you and you don't have to
do anything, if not, please log on and if you have any questions
let me know. We will using the posts under "FSCEN Contract
League" so be sure you are in the correct thread when posting.
I will open your team war room in the new forum later today so
it will be just like how we did it on the Yahoo! message boards,
just a different location. All trade business needs to be made
in the trade room/Contract League War Room and any specific team
business can be addressed in your team war room page. Let's try
to keep league business in the posts already made so that we do
not have several open posts we do not need opened.

If you need help with that let me know. Add the forum website
to your favorites on every device you use so you have access to
it any given time. You can set it up to receive automatic
emails for each post if you wish.
Below is the team spreadsheet in google if you need to look at
your rosters. You should still be able to view it, if not let me
know and I can invite you again. If I were you, I would add
this google sheet to your favorite to ALL devices you use so you
can access it anytime.

Below is the schedule for the league. If there needs to be a
change down the road, I will let you know. We start things
rolling on Sundays. We will take a short break during the
drafts. Please write down the schedule and keep it close.
Step 1 July 23 Entry Fee due
Step 2 July 30 Cuts and Extensions due
Step 3 August 6 Trading opens. Since we have a new manager this
year, trades talks are limited to August 6 so the new managers
have equal chance at trades and understand the overall process
Step 4 August 13 Rookie draft
Step 5 August 20 Regular NFL draft
Step 6 Dead period after drafts for a few days to get rosters
set, TBD
Step 7 September 3 WW opens (projected)
I will post when a "step" begins and ends and post rules for
each step if needed.
Please post your cuts and extension ASAP so I can work on
getting the Google Sheets updated. If a player retires or gets
hurt after you post cuts and extensions, I will allow you to
make changes up to the due date of July 30. Remember, contracts
that expire in 2023 can be dropped now for no penalty.
We have 4 IR spots and they can be used on players on IR and
designated as OUT (if yahoo allows you to put a player on IR,
it's a legal use of IR).
Leaguesafe is up and running. We all have to pay $200, except
for Mark, so the pot is $2300. From now until July 2, Leagusafe
payment option will be set to echeck only and will change to
echeck to debit/credit card at that time. Leaguesafe charges a
fee when paying with a credit/debit card and this is an option
to pay with echeck for no additional charge. It is a benefit to
pay early.
Welcome back to the league and good luck. I think that is all
for now.
PS Please get your cuts and extensions in sooner rather than
later so I can get to work. I am still looking for a
replacement in the auction league, so if you are interested in a
team or if you know anyone interested in a team for $100, let me
know.

We should complete the draft today. Below is the remainder of
the schedule for our league:
Be sure to claim all the players you drafted on Yahoo!
August 30 by the end of the day, post contracts on your team war
room in the forum and I will update the google sheets.
August 31 by end of the day, check teams on Yahoo! and Google
and make sure they are correct. If I don't hear anything from
you by the end of the day, I will assume they are correct. If at
any time during the season, you see an issue I need to fix, let
me know.
September 1 to September 2 teams will be locked to fix things
that need fixed.
September 3 First day to put in waivers for the year and will be
daily waivers until August 7. Teams will be unlocked and waivers
can be placed on September 3 and will be processed September 4.
September 7, waivers will be set back to Sunday game time to
Tuesday.

FSCEN'ers,
An entertaining filled 2023 Fantasy Football Season is
officially over and thank you all for being a part of our
league. Congrats to Chicago Beers for winning the league!!!
Congrats to NY Vod Kanonkers for winning the 1.1 pick, now you
just need to trade it to me so I can make my team better.
Payouts through leaguesafe have been made to the managers who
won cash so you should be getting an email if you are receiving
funds so look for that email. The final draft order can be found
on the spreadsheet. I will update draft pick trades in a few
weeks.
Please advise me if there are any problems getting your winnings
from Leaguesafe. I will be updating the google spreadsheet every
now and then. Leaguesafe should be sending an email to you
about how you actually want to have the funds distributed to
you. Leaguesafe charges a fee depending on how you want them
distributed to you. Details about that is below. Next year I
am going to look into having Yahoo "keep" the funds to
streamline things more and may change it to Yahoo if it is good
for the league. If you use Yahoo to keep funds or know how it
works email me.
Please let me know if you are returning to the league or not for
the 2024 season ASAP. That way I can find a replacement if
needed.
The 2023 season is now over and the 2024 season is considered
"open". If at any time you know a player you want to cut, let me
know and I can update that. You can now drop players whose
contract expires in 2024 because technically we are in the 2024
season. Contract penalties for cutting players also move back a
round because we are in the 2024 season. If you have questions
about that, let me know.
I will be updating the google spreadsheet during the offseason.
Offseason for this I consider now until week 1 kickoff so you
have a few months of inactivity. I anticipate the Yahoo website
will be down for a few months and then reactivated sometime in
May. Seems like they reactivate it earlier every year. Once
things get going, invites for 2024 will be sent. The 2024
schedule will be similar to 2023 with the entry fee due in July
and cuts/extensions/rookie/auction draft starting in August.
Just because it is the offseason, I am always open to talking
fantasy football, hit me up anytime.
Make sure you post your roster cut down to 20 in your team war
room forum. If you are already down to 20, post that in the
forum so everyone knows. You have until January 14 to get your
team down to 20, if not, I will have to cut your most recent
players added to get to 20.
There will be one league vote for a change to the constitution
in 2024 once the league is filled.

questions, email me and I will try to answer your questions
ASAP. I think it was a successful season, enjoy the offseason,

Members may choose from a variety of methods for receiving
Payouts. These include electronic bank transfer, paper check,
printable eCheck, Virtual Visa Prepaid Card and Gift Card
Reward.
The costs associated with each of these options are outlined
below.

In the event that a Payout sent by postal service is returned to
LeagueSafe, LeagueSafe may opt to hold the Funds and continue to
