This directory and its branches once contained user-contributed lsof distributions, all now known to be vulnerable to the standard I/O descriptor attack. While no previous lsof has been shown to cause damage when attacked, they are known to open inappropriate files on the tainted standard I/O descriptors. For reasons of prudence they are no longer generally available. Check the documentation files in this directory and its branches to learn what once was present.
