NAME
date, timesync - read and set the clock

SYNOPSIS
     date
     date -i
     date -s epoch
     timesync mountpoint

DESCRIPTION
Date prints the current time. The deck has no battery-backed clock, so
after a cold start it does not know what time it is and says so.

date -s sets the time from a Unix epoch value. date -i prints the date
     in a longer, interactive form.

Timesync sets the clock from a mounted server, which is the usual way it
gets set: the crystal knows the time, and tunein(1) runs this for you as
     part of connecting.

EXAMPLES
     date
     timesync /n/dc

SEE ALSO
     tunein(1), uptime(1)

NOTES
Timestamps on files you create before the clock is set will be wrong, and
no later correction goes back to fix them.
